  1. Aren’t they all ‘to be interpreted’? And, again, appealing is different because they are asking the question, not belittling the decision. If an umpire pays a free AND a 50 for appealing then I have little doubt it will be pointed out constantly and clarified for your benefit.
  2. That’s not what I have read/heard. Appealing is different to remonstrating, and remonstrating is demonstrating dissent. Umpiring is in an awful state up and down the leagues and something had to be done.
  3. I have had coaches say (and have said myself) - “just don’t say anything to the umpires” for yeeaaarrrrrssss
But of course the next thing said was ‘unless you are standing around, then you can quietly whinge like a [censored] in their direction - now get out there and get the footy!!’
  4. How do you ‘APPEAL for a free AFTER the decision’? Its just whining to the umpire and if it universally applied then it makes it easier to officiate. If you GESTICULATE, the umpire won’t EQUIVOCATE.
  5. Mark Robinson is confused and steadfastly against this rule interpretation. That should be enough for all of us to reflect and see the benefits of the new interpretation and it’s necessity for the game’s future. Just don’t tell the umpire to look at the screen and whine like a little [censored] when you give away a free.

I just find this a naive stance. 6 games ago he won a flag as an effective FF. You bring back your best players as son as you can. Are we a ruthless club or do we gift games and ‘share’ positions?

I’m not really following that equation. We had 58k for the Dogs & flag unveiling and low 40s for the Bombers. Those are not good. They’re not pathetic so no thread. Generational team + pathetic crowd - meek excuses = ‘Crying Foul thread’ I really think that sums it up.

Tomlinson performed fine, but he is not Petty. Petty is a superior PREMIERSHIP player. Much like Brown is over Weideman. Brown is the MFC FF in 2022 and he comes back in to replace an inferior player.

Im not saying people don’t care about the team - I am implying that Dees fans have a generational team to follow and they are not there to follow them and it is bordering on embarrassing. An illness neutered through vaccine, a mandate to go to a ticketing website or use an app on your phone, a desire to watch on TV - it’s all a bit pathetic.

I rate him as capable of kicking three in a GF when it’s an actual game. And reality rates him that way too. And get ready to hand over your keys. Perhaps Demonland should get your house? Imagine the servers this thing could run on with $200k? $300k? What are we looking at here?

Genuinely curious about the low attendance we are seeing atm. Give the reasons you have heard and/or given.

Yes, it’s a part of the reason Tmac will remain when Brown comes back next week.

Schalke is the one I know about. Impressive.

My point is that the FD rate Smith, or have in the very recent past, so looking down your nose at posters is misguided. Look down at the FD. They are the ones with NFI
apparently.
  15. I think you can still dislike Scott. I believe in you.

Poor Tomlinson couldn’t get the game against his old mob. Petty is such an important player for us - the Gorilla tamer to aide May.

Forget the fans, the FD brought him in for a QF. So go have a go at Richo and co.
  19. That’s a bold number. You’re getting sick of these?
  20. Yeah, that’s the ‘sound the alarm’ vids on the AFL website of snippets of all 4 qtr. we allowed a lot, the Dogs not so much

That’s what people said before the last one and yet plenty of people signed up before it was finalised. And also we recently signed Petracca until 2029 - the best player in the league - so I don’t see a finalised CBA as a large dependency.
  22. Seems to be getting smaller.

Oh, and we shouldn’t be throwing the magnets around - we should be rewarding players that have trained positions and have an understanding that the reward is an opportunity in those positions. After that fails then you can throw magnets.

GWS have the ruck, Riccardi, Himmelberg and Hogan. I can see them having May, Tomlinson and Smith for those three and Lever on the resting mid or coniglio to free him up. Might be Hunt out
