CHANGES: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
The correct thing to say is we are most likely not dropping ANB for an inconsistent season. That’s what it has been. His leadership and his role helping Petracca make him very difficult to replace but he has been down on his 2021 output.

Farewell Sam Weideman
I agree with the premise, makes the take of @DeeSpencerthat McStay is equal to Angus Brayshaw even more laughable. McStay lucky to stay in this Lions team.

Is Bayley Fritsch the best mid sized forward?
Toby Greene is, so that’s a no.
-
Farewell Sam Weideman
That’s not necessarily the case, he is a capable back up ruck and we may have an opening in 2023.

If your choice is between Weid and McStay; you need to leave the store. We’re not shopping for Valentine’s gifts here.

Farewell Luke Jackson
It doesn’t. And he said “maximise his time here.” People can imply what they want, Simon isn’t an [censored].

You implied, and I inferred.

People are capitulating, people are referring to me as “someone” like I am DeeSpencer… What is going on?

The Run Home
Oh, ok. I will let Goodwin know. Although, Geelong have lost prelims and GFs the last decade against teams lower on the ladder… And anything can happen when big finals are played at our home ground and not theirs… But no, you’re right, let’s just give up.

CHANGES: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Don’t want to be too negative, Jaded. ANB has things to do to release Petracca. I would put Melksham on Daicos and as for Moore, can we just not kick it down his throat?

CHANGES: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Harmes is more limited in that he can’t play a wifey different role like Gus can. At this point, it doesn’t matter. Gus should stay in the midfield and Harmes can compete with Sparrow for the last rotation spot or maybe ANB’s role. It’s tough but that is footy. Edit - he can do what Melksham does defensively but Melksham has better forward craft. Big decisions…

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
Maybe the 3 months off were good for his body…

Is that a rhetorical question?

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
I am taking the pizz but jeez was good. He is a mid. He can play elsewhere but sheesh…

POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
Of course I consume it but a friend of mine used to work for Croc Media and knows Hutchison well - they literally design their views around reaction. Hutchison admitted to my mate that he will say something (or advise/cajole someone else to say something) that he doesn’t believe just so it hits your cerebral cortex and gets you annoyed or fired up. I am not above getting riled up over what Twitters algorithm sends me but I am trying to not get inflamed as that is it’s intention…

Farewell Sam Weideman
Oh, no, I know footy quite well, much more than yourself. Even lauded Sam earlier in the year for his efforts in Adelaide in playing his role in the ruck. He may still have a role to play at this club in the wake of a certain ruckman leaving but when you praise a performance of invisibility and ineffectiveness you lose whatever credibility you have. Our most impactful tall forward inside the 50 was Fritsch and outside the 50 was Melksham. They get to contests and compete when they get the ball down to ground.

You’re emotionally invested in what Matthew Lloyd, Kane Cornes, and Mark Robinson say…

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Looks like we promised him midfield time…

POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
Yes, love that. I am sure he will get a little bit of ‘fan respect’ nonsense. The club should laugh it off - the fan wanted a reaction and they got one.
