From that same site; our opposition, as in the teams we have played, have the best average rebound 50 number and the 5th best rate (this is the number that is more determinative because it takes into account our high number of I50s). But it means we are letting it out of our 50.

Is this @rangerover? Just remind me of him so much… No, it’s not a good thing.

No one can make you fell shame but you. I live in Canberra and have a 2 yr old. I have been to the Dogs and the Tigers games and I will be at the Lions Thursday night game. I make the effort and pay the money because I can afford it (off alcohol to compensate) and I know how quickly this all could go away. One injury, a resigning that doesn’t happen, some bad luck and we blink and miss the moments we want to savour for years to come. I know many have great reasons why they are unable to get to these games, but this is a unique situation with a generational team that is not attracting generational crowds. Its disappointing and we shouldn’t ignore it.
  4. Yes, it’s amazing to have these players. Probably should try to get to the games and enjoy it…
  5. When something is more meaningful than you know, because you just don’t know. And that’s ok, but just get out of the way.

Montagna was just saying that our forward half pressure isn’t where it was last year. Stats bear that out and so does the eye test. We are allowing the ball further up the ground and that may be part of the plan as I said before - playing helter skelter in the forward half is not easy. I just think they better lift that on Sunday. The saints slingshot so well because they are front runners at heart.

I guess Goodwin is off to WA in 2025. He should probably start looking at property…

He is was back up ruck. Essentially the third tall. We can cut him slack like we do Jackson for impact forward.

    Bad news for Dogs.
  10. Goodwin. Premiership. Winning percentage. Honest. Daniher. Brought back the resolve and demand to the club to be good. Got the most out of a run of the mill list. Roos. Set up the club for sustained success with his installed culture from Sydney. Northey. Too young but he would be 4th Balme. Top bloke.

Good point. Tough to drop on 199.

    Yeah, evidently not.

Move the goalposts wider and they will be outside the stadium…
  14. We are not defending well in our forward half or creating as many turnovers - it’s alarming unless Goodwin just lets them save their legs against lower opposition. We find out on Sunday. I don’t think you can be so blasé with how you play so I just don’t think we are as good defensively in the forward half as we were last year. Weds to improve in the next four months.
  15. Melbourne supporters, Jaded.

ND6. One of the King brothers, Ben. Good trade all around really. Well except for Freo who got Hogan for ND6.
  17. We play so high up in defence that he gets to use his foot skills in the forward half as it is.

I don’t disagree. Although when I say change I mean something like ND14 so it’s a first round pick but ‘change’ as far as I am concerned - it’s unlikely to unearth a star. Thats just an aside - we have to find a way to keep Jackson and Oliver as priority 1 and 1A. Then we will have to make decisions on IF we can keep Brayshaw, Harmes, Etc - our good players that are part of the fabric but that also easier to replace than our galaxy of stars; 1, 3, 5, 8, 11, 13, and 15.
  19. Also, Mitchell has won 3 games so let’s not raise our glasses too early… We may be coronating the next SuperCoach but let’s not rule out a Red Wedding scenario.
  20. Really upset my hatred for Geelong is not as notable as Jaded’s.
  21. Live; the QB at the SCG. TV; the Bulldogs game in Rd19 last year. Surreal. Also, the SCG is a concrete mess that needs demolishing. They must hate Bill O’Reilly up there because that is the ****test stand I have sat in.
  22. We also were on our heels in both games. We’re more likely to smash a good team than we are a bad team because of that more intense mindset. We are eminently beatable BUT you have to daring, you have to execute AND you have to have high end talent in all lines to keep us from ripping through you.
