  1. Langdon does both. Look, I am not going to sit here and criticise Angus because he is now a champion Demon but the winger role is one that requires defensive positioning and mindset and Langdon did that and was able to link up in the forward half too. He was that good. Angus had games where he was able to do that and the GF was an absolute willingness by him to make the dogs pay whenever they wanted to avoid Langdons wing, which a number of teams did in 2021.
  2. Of the wings, Langdon was superior. Bradshaw had an amazing GF and sacrificed for the team to play defensive wing but he still did struggle to perform offensively. Not a criticism coz someone has to do the hard work but I can see why he’s outside the top 10.
  3. While I share the sentiment that we are far superior as a team; the bulldogs were only a goal down with 1 minute left in the third qtr. The game was over in the next minute - but up until that point it was a pretty good GF…
  4. Ah no, you now go for a club that transcends venue and opponent; we will win in Perth and Geelong, in Adelaide and in big games. The only thing we have to fear, is our own hubris… That, and injuries…
  5. I remember going to the loo at 3 qtr time thinking that there would be little chance for WB to come back from 4 goals down to win a flag… …but my next thought was ‘Melbourne is always breaking records’…
  6. My wife has told me to bring down the ‘PREMIERS 2021’ flag from the front of the house. I said to her ‘they haven’t even got a new premier yet?!!’ My lawyers will have a field day.
  7. Our injuries and ‘hangover’ will determine whether we finish top four, not the fixture.
  8. Or Canberra. Although you did get the Lions and QB clash in a Flag year so maybe ease up.
  9. We welcome all back to the club. You can’t have qualifiers on who can be a demon AND be a strong club into the future.
  10. Shouldn’t be buying pickles anyway. High in salt.
  11. Lots of hand wringing on here. It’s a fixture so it will never be even. Raining night games for the sponsors which is great and I love the rolling fixture - keeps us always a chance to get good slots. I will try to get down a few times. Lets get into it
  12. The two Friday night games with us against Ess is for the AFLW GF the next day to give it space.
  13. Friend of mine finished his career because of a concussion due to a sling tackle into the ground. Was in the action of kicking. He was breathing like a British bulldog for 5 mins and when he came to he could only name me, no other question he could answer for hours. Really scary.
  14. When I get the old “a friend of mine is a Melbourne supporter” I always go with the “oh ok! A friend of yours?!” With mirth in my voice. ”Well you tell them that it’s perfectly acceptable and they should feel comfortable showing their true feelings” I say with a wink. ”I hope your ‘friend’ enjoys the Dees next year” I say with a chuckle.
  15. Looks like the club staff stuck around for the best office Xmas party ever. Daisy was there, Shannon Byrnes. And is that Darren Burgess on the left?
  16. So Burgess and Griffith are big on heat training as a way to increase the body’s ability to increase what it can do. While I didn’t give you any ‘heat’ I did roll my eyes intensely at your posts because these people are professionals. It’s not an oversight - it’s the point. And their practices helped us win a flag. Burgess talks about heat training in his podcast with Peter Brukner. I would advise you give that a listen.
  17. No, it’s a possibility you can still elect to have one sent to you in your pack. I said don’t bother but give me the scarf.
  18. Level 4 and went to the David Neitz bar like it was our personal pub whenever we wanted.
  19. You decide. Log in to your membership account and it should prod you to decide on what you want in your pack and whether you want a ‘novelty’ card.
  20. I think so. Jake Bowey the youngest living premiership player??
  21. Understandable. Some say I have an unhealthy interest in Geelongs eventual implosion. I disagree. Its entirely healthy.
  22. Again, the ads are tailored to individuals so… …what’s up with you, man?!
  23. Might want to play bball… or not play AFL… He’s 15 yeah?
  24. Umm, I don’t think so, Gil. Maybe if it was a Friday night…
