  1. When? Last year when the qualifying final was at half capacity at Adelaide Oval due to COVID? What were we supposed to have done about that? We were in Melbourne. In lockdown. Under curfew.
  2. Can I be frank enough to say you both look rather infantile?
  3. Exactly, he's the instigator of the niggle. Edit - I meant Zorko, not of anyone getting pregnant. Sorry, the quoting of posts got a bit ugly here.
  4. LOL the "skinny Melbourne bloke"! Too funny
  5. Few people know there is a "secret" walkway from the top level of the Ponsford that leads around to the other side of MCC to the Olympic Stand. See if you can find it!
  6. How do you refund time lost reading the speculations?
  7. I've been thinking about this and more than anything I hope for Luke's sake he doesn't go to Fremantle. I'm not sure the culture at that club is all that healthy, evidenced by Hogan's experiences, and Langdon also doesn't seem like he had a happy time there. Hogan's experiences in particular haunt me - I don't know if it was poor treatment towards him by the club, or other issues, but clearly a move home was not good for him, and he himself has stated he regrets leaving Melbourne. And yes, the things Freo fans say about Hogan is horrible. I don't want the same thing to happen to Luke, I really don't. I would much prefer for him to stay at a club where it seems he is happy, and he is being well looked after. Because he doesn't seem like a guy that possesses a lot of street smarts.
  8. That's mental imagery I could have done without...!
  9. Fair enough. I do place a huge value on culture, as clubs are member driven not for profit organisations, and I do think they have a significant role to play in society. I'm proud of the culture developed at Melbourne, I certainly wouldn't want to have a loose cannon jeopardise it.
  10. Exactly. I'm at the stage of questioning the values of some of the Demonlander posters for defending this DH.
  11. In the last few years at Collingwood - - Allegations of racism resulting in the departure of the President and Coach, and the "Do Better" report - Key member of their cheer squad charged with pedophilia - Members of their AFLW squad complaining about the club's inaction over De Goey - De Goey I don't give a rats if they've won 8 in a row. If Melbourne signs up De Goey they will lose me as a member, and I've been a member for 37 years. I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one. I'd like to think our club has standards. We can do better culturally than signing up DHs like De Goey.
  12. I've never sexually assaulted anyone if that's what you mean.
  13. They should have sacked him when he was first charged with the 2015 sexual assault. I'm surprised he wasn't sacked after New York. The fact after Bali they still haven't sacked him is endemic of the cultural cancer at Collingwood, where players in their AFLW program campaigned for the club to do something about it and were ignored. No thanks. Steer clear.
  14. Let's see - do we want a player who is a serial [censored] with no respect for anyone but himself? Who has blown chance after chance whilst acting like a substandard human being? Who has been accused on multiple occasions of sexual assault or harassment of women? Big fat NO!
  15. NOOOOOOO!!! Not Macca!😥
  16. I went the predictable route this round for tipping: Bulldogs Pies Brisbane Richmond Geelong Freo Hawks Melbourne Gold Coast. Of course I want Adelaide and Sydney to win, but I also want to win the tipping at work - I'm only one tip off the leader and coming equal second at the moment!! Last year I won it, so the pressure is on!
  17. Just ordered my copy. Hope it comes quick, I need a new book to read for pleasure instead of work!
  18. From 2014, 2015 and 2016. From the days when Melbourne were pretty crap.
  19. And believe it or not I have a 12" single version of Come on Demons that's been autographed by the great man himself, Jimmy Stynes.
  20. It's not in Darwin, it's in Alice Springs. Personally I love the fact the club has developed such close ties with the Santa Teresa community, it reminds us that as a not for profit organisation there are commitments to the community being met.
  21. 45 rpm I've kept all my vinyl from my wayward 80s teenage years, including LPs, EPs, 12" and 7" singles.
  22. That’s Ryan, we think he’s a legend, too. And he is. He and Sophie run the cheer squad.
  23. A whole year of banner making, love it!!
  24. Given the spirit of the OP and a couple of others posting on this thread, I thought I’d post this as a way of showing how other cheer squads see us in the Demon Army. If our own supporters don’t see our value at least other supporters do…
