Verrel has improved quite a lot since joining the list, his ruck craft and follow up work is VFL standard. However, he has no other weapons. Too short, not a good mark, leap is not great, not a forward.

Lever is contracted. KPD's are very valuable on the trade market. North are desperate for a senior KPD. North's list management is horrendous. They traded their F1st (pick 3 this year) for pick 27 in last years draft. Pick 25 for Daniel. 5 year deal for Griffen Logue?? Seriously. Surely we can extract one of their young mids, a Duursma or a very favourable pick swap such as their '26 f1st.

Wonder if Whitford is in consideration to be the next midfield strategy coach. Casey has been humming all year, plays a very fun, aggressive modern game style and has the whole team motivated and energetic.

Re Adams, he is very fast for a big lad. When he gets a clean run and jump at the ball as an interceptor, he looks a awesome. However, at this stage he cannot compete 1-1 with senior AFL players. He's a good size for a KPD and has gotten bigger and fitter each year. He is not ready to replace Steven May, but he might be able to compete for that 3rd tall role in '26 and beyond.

They also changed their rating system between 24-25 so the comparison is not direct

The rating systems favour half backs more than any other position, there's 5-6 half backs in their top 10 this year

Bit of Finn Callaghan in the way he is an oversized outside mid, played really well on the wing all year but lots of work to do as a stoppage midfielder for sure.
