  1. I wished Princes Park would still be an option. I used to love going down there for the odd Melbourne game. We had one of the best records of all teams there in this decade - 4 wins out of 5. We actually played better footy at Optus than at the G, in my opinion. I couldn't believe all those nuffy Melbourne supporters refused to attend our home matches there in 2002 even though a win was on the cards. I'd be happy for them to play 2 Princes Park games a year, as long as the break-even crowd was 8-10,000.
  2. I'd still take 4 TJ kicks a game over 95% of our rubbish at the moment.
  3. Did kick 4 goals in the NAB Cup game V's Hawks, so we all thought he was due for a big year. But he's been poor in 4 of 5 games and surely Bailey must be running out of patience. Either him or Juice must be omitted for Geelong
  4. Like you HT, I wanted us to pick Zaharakis.
  5. Actually by his own admission, he was disappointed with his output last year. Robbo's not the future but he's the now. After last Sunday's 4 goal effort, anyone that doesn't want a player capable of kicking 70 goals a year (and fresh off 5 goals) in the team this week needs their head checked.
  6. I think it's officially a part time role. In the meantime can they please sack Josh Mahoney? Either Bailey or Mahoney must pay for going goaless for 2 and a half qtrs and I can't see Bailey going.
  7. So Michael Newton now leads Demonland's illustrious top 10 of whipping boys: 1) M Newton 2) T Johnstone 3) C Sylvia 4) A Yze 5) S Godfrey 6) J White 7) M Bate 8) C Bruce 9) L Williams (remember him ) 10) B Miller I'm fairly sure B Grgic was before demonland's time.
  8. Dunn - Probably kicked half our goals
  9. Thought Newton was ordinary on the weekend.
  10. Pathetic joke of a turnout. Most people would rather watch the footy with a glass of shiraz in front of the fire. It's just not good enough from our fans. No wonder every other opposition fan says Melbourne should be the first to relocate. I would've sold my left leg to get to the game, if I didn't live in Seattle.
  11. Sorry mate, Davey must get votes. The only bloke that can kick the thing.
  12. You've got me YM. Bruce was ineffective today. But we need him next week to stem the bleeding. Please Bailey, play him as a lead up fwd and replace Bate.
  13. Agree. Dunn knows where the goals are. Bate is just lost - and it's quite sad to be honest for a guy that was picked at #13 in 2004
  14. I read on bigfooty that Newton got votes on their Adelaide board.
  15. Not impressed with his performance today and his entire season has been ordinary. I like it how he tries to set up goals, but his output each week has been below par. Do we drop him, or do we play him in the midfield??
  16. Agree. I kinda like players that kick goals from 25 mtrs out.
  17. Maric must come in for Jetta, regardless of fitness.
  18. 6) Moloney 5) Davey 4) Frawley 3) Sylvia - for those long bombs that found targets! 2) McDonald 1) Warnock
  19. YM, I sorta agree with you mate. Did nothing to inspire, but will survive next week. Must play as a medium fwd IMO
  20. IN - Robbo. 3 VFL games are plenty and by all reports he's been kicking 2 or 3 goals a game. OUT Newton - The club must surely stamp his papers after 2 misses from 15 mtrs out. I was hopeful he turned the cnr, but he's simply no good Maric for Jetta if Maric's fit enough, but I have my doubts.
  21. Sorry to his family. Brave effort to front up today. Credit to him. Had a crack 2day. Pity he missed that shot on goal in 4th qtr.
  22. Thought he was OK today.
  23. I wouldn't have thought so.
  24. A bit off topic, but Collins was actually delisted after 2001. I can recall it was a contract dispute rather than a sacking, similar to Powell. Didn't mind him as a player. Robbo is contracted for 2010, so I can't imagine him pulling the pin this year (assuming he has a decent return this year) considering how hungry he is to return to the field.
