Jeremy Cameron reported for high contact
Bring-Back-Powell replied to The Backyard Charizard's topic in Melbourne Demons
Fair enough. At the ground they replayed it a couple of times and it looked like he got him in the head. -

How many weeks for Pedo? in his defence the St Kilda player wasn't injured. -
If Pedo is suspended for rd 1 how much is it going to upset out structure?

While a win is important, one only has to look back to NAB 3 last year when we lost to a bunch of fill ins and then responded with a round 1 win. Having said the they're at full strength and we're missing 5 or 6 from our best 22, so a win would be a good confidence booster.
-
Good. Our record and performances at both venues are a disgrace

I reckon Sunday's game against St Kilda might give us a further idea on how we'll go this year. We're playing a full strength side who we haven't beaten since 2006, on their home deck with capped interchanges and full length qtrs I think. Both NAB wins have come with an asterisk. The Port win we had far more rotations and then the Dogs had 14 of their best 22 out- I'm surprised Goodwin was positive after that game. The media have certainly never been this positive about us since early 2007.

Can't understand why Melbourne supporters would boycott this game. There's still 4 points up for grabs and it's a crucial launching pad to finally get some early wins on the board.
-
I hope they don't get smacked because knowing the MFC we'll take them lightly.

MFC 2016 Membership - Record Broken. Next stop: 40,000
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
That's good but St Kilda have 32k. i don't know about you guys but we should be striving to have more members than them. Once we start playing finals again, I'd hope we'd be ahead of North, St Kilda, Bulldogs and even Carlton in the membership tally. -
Isn't he off to Port next year? If that doesn't eventuate, it will either be Brayshaw or Viney.

We should rest Gawn, Hoges and Salem for the Dogs

Correct. Gawn was rested for at least the second half of the last quarter, but possibly even more. -

How's Bugg been in his MFC debut? Was it a simple miss for goal? -

Johnny Ralph on SEN tonight reckons the Hogan situation has a taken a turn for the worst over the last 6 months and the two parties are as far apart as they've been for a while. Meanwhile he said both McDonald boys are far from certainties to stay on after this year. What a barrel of joy that was listening to him. -
Another rumour going around (via the Port board on big footy ) is that Neal-Bullen is chronically home sick and that Port Adelaide will get him at the end of the year, in exchange for a token draft pick.

Toumpas v Wines - Oliver v Parish
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Cranky Franky's topic in Melbourne Demons
He was ok last night. Probably played about his 5th best game of his career, which doesn't say much for his career to date. -
Fitz is flying at the Hawks
Bring-Back-Powell replied to RalphiusMaximus's topic in Melbourne Demons
Didn't think he was that bad. Took a few nice grabs but was useless in the ruck. -
According to Ports bigfooty forum, he was woeful in the first half of their intra club game but got a bit of it in the 3rd qtr. They said he ran around aimlessly and couldn't really work out the role he was playing....sound familiar?

Training - Monday 15th February, 2016
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
The massive difference between Essendon of 1993 and Melbourne of 2016 is that Essendon had made finals 9 of their previous 12 seasons. I think the baby bombers tag was a bit over-cooked. They were a perennial finalist that still had many senior quality players that year. -

Meanwhile Richmond are offering the chance for 2 people to win tickets, flights and accommodation to every interstate Richmond game for the season. -
That's awesome news if true. Perhaps a 4 year extension that would take him to free agency eligibility??

No you're right, freo would never trade Fyfe but I reckon the future value of Hogan = current value of Fyfe. Therefore melb should be compensated with the equivalent value of Fyfe, eg - top 6 freo player and a first rd draft pick
