2017 Player Reviews: # 8 Heritier Lumumba

Like most of the side he started the year well, but then tailed off a tad after we played Sydney. -
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever

On the Sunday footy show, Barrett supremely confident we'll get Lever but it's going to cost us big time and we're not just talking salary cap. -
2017 Player Reviews: # 6 Jordan Lewis

Didn't mind his season to be brutally honest. He got better as the season went on, while many others got worse. -

2017 Player Reviews: # 3 Christian Salem

One of the disappointment stories of 2017. The fact that in his 4th year at the club nobody has a clue on his best position would suggest to me that he's a failed top 10 draft pick. -

JKH for Lever. Hopefully Adelaide can throw in a sweetener to seal the deal. -
I hate Geelong with the passion, but I hope they contribute to a very black fortnight for Richmond. Richmond going out in straight sets will ease the pain of round 23 oh so much. If Adelaide lose tonight, I think the criticism should be heaped on them. As in no Sloane no Adelaide, which would be a poor reflection on them as a side.

https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/jordan-mcmahon-melbourne-fc-appreciation.1176042/ While they make a good point our draft failures, it still doesn't change the fact that these Richmond ferals have a pure hatred of the Melbourne FC, are jealous of our more affluent supporter base and want us to be a dismal failure. Everyone raise your glasses to a straight set exit by Richmond.

He's out of contract at the end of 2019 so the media will already start writing articles about this sometime next year.

Is this the kid Hogan kicked 3 in a half on?
-
Who would we all prefer? A fully fit 25-30 goal a year Kent or Hannan? Hannan basically took Kent's spot. I think Kent at his best is better than Hannan who had too many quiet games and at 24 can he be expected to take the next step?

Archer's got $2,900 sitting in his car ashtray. Disgracefully light penalty for someone who should know better (even though he's a thug) and is a wealthy man.

Just a couple of special thank yous as we try and get some closure: 1) to Bernard Vince for snapping the ball out of bounds on the full with 2 seconds left despite being only about 25 mtrs out from goal. 2) to Max Gawn for that pitiful miss 30 mtrs out directly in front in the second qtr. If these very easy goals went through, we have a percentage of 105.79 to West Coast's 105.71. Garbage leadership by members of the leadership group.
-
And is there a guarantee that Gawn won't be a 1 year wonder? He has only had 1 good season of AFL.
-
Didn't they also want to host us Queens Birthday?
-
If by some chance we sneak in we won't be playing at the MCG in either of the first 2 weeks, assuming Geelong hold on.
-
Special shout out to Bernie Vince for that putrid shot at goal in the last second that wouldve made West Coast's job that little bit harder.

Looking ahead ... the Path to September

Cheering for a GWS win tonight. Adelaide can concede top spot if Gws win and top spot gets you the Friday night prelim and the extra day break. That would be motivation for Adelaide. -
Disgusting performance. But the irony is we're actually better off finishing 8th (should Adelaide help us out tomoz). Much rather play Port than Sydney. For some reason we play like men possessed at Adelaide Oval. Ofcourse it will be a moot point if WC win by 3 goals +.

No way in hell Essendon miss finals. Something would be seriously wrong if you blokes can't win by at least 10 goals. Freo are worse than hopeless. -

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - ROUND 23
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
If GWS lose tomorrow night, Adelaide have absolutely nothing to play for as they'll have top spot sown up. If GWS win, it's in Adelaide's best interest to beat WCE as they'll reclaim top spot. Top spot guarantees you a Friday night prelim and hence 1 extra day's break for the big dance. -

Yes, we'd play the loser of Geelong or Richmond in week 2 provided they both finish 2nd and 3rd.
