  1. Takes me back the infamous Melbourne V GWS game in 2014 (Roos's first year) when they didn't have a fit player on the bench in the last quarter but still out scored us: 5-1 to 1-5.
  2. In fairness Collingwood probably had as many best 22 out as us on QBday.
  3. Someone said Hibberd missed training so I'm guessing he's back on the list?
  4. Each to their own. I like Thursday Night Footy. It Feels like the weekend has come early and it gives you something to look forward to during your Thursday work day. Hopefully they can increase TNF from 8 this year to 11 next year.
  5. Geelong are woeful after the bye so Port might be good money at $2.80?? Reckon Brisbane might have another road setback, this time against St Kilda. Sydney should keep Hawthorn to a very low score. Hopefully Essendon get flogged tonight.
  6. I'm guessing Lever was rushed back for the QB game because our deluded coach genuinely thought we were a chance for finals.
  7. One of the best posts ever on DL. Very enjoyable read.

  9. No, they'll bring him in for the last game of the year and he'll no doubt kick 6 just to make a mockery of our match committee, IN - Lockhart, T Smith OUT - Wagner, Garlett or Spargo. T Mac one last last chance. If the bye hasn't freshened him up physically and mentally he may have to have an indefinite spell in the 2's.
  10. And more than satisfied beating bottom sides: Any surprise we haven't won since, with these ludicrous celebrations.
  11. There's precedence to such spectacular crashes the following year. Fremantle went from being 16-2 after round 19 2015, to going 4-18 the next year. They finished 16th in 2016 but one of those sides below them was a VFL side (who incidentally beat our senior side in 2016). If things go south for us over the next fortnight I'm expecting a "will we win another game" thread pop up.
  12. Actually seeing a game where we kick more goals than behinds and the opposition kicking more behinds than goals. I know thereโ€™s more chance of winning tattslotto tomorrow night...
  13. I knew someone would pull me up for that one. For the record Hogan played an outstanding game against GWS (not Freo) in round 5.
  14. I'd still give the bye a sniff against us...
  15. I'd have Hinkley way down the list. Sounds like a bush league coach with a year 9 education.
  16. FYI Jenkins only kicked 2 on O Mac.
  17. If it's good for Jenkins (a more proven forward commodity than T Mac) to have a spell in the magoos, then surely it's ok for T Mac to have a spell down there as well to find some much needed form.
  18. Agreed. May's the defender on the big bucks, so he takes the opposition's marquee key forward. Hogan's had a rough month, but he still played a brownlow vote worthy game Vs Freo in round 5 and kicked 2 goals against Collingwood in round 11.
  19. Certainly something in that. The last 6 weeks worth of last quarters: Hawthorn - 4.0 GC - 4.0 WC - 6.1 GWS 2.1 (Disregard this game as were never in it and the only game in this 6 week cycle we were out scored) Adel 5.2 Coll 4.0 We have conceded 25.4 in the last quarters in our previous 6 games!!! That's disgusting.
  20. Since the round 7 game v's Hawthorn, the stats are horrifying: Melbourne 56.80 - 41% Opposition - 76.43- 64% We've had 14 more scoring shots than the opposition. If we're accurate against Freo, we win. Pure and simple.
  21. Should be dropped for missing that crucial sitter on the siren.
  22. But was back to his best before he injured his collarbone V's GC. Got coaches votes V's Hawthorn.
  23. In another record figure, our opposition are tracking at a combined 61% accuracy which is two percent above the highest recorded amount of 59% (Brisbane in 2017) since 2000.
  24. Now you can add Collingwood to the list. 15.8 including 9.0 in the second half.
  25. Only Port, Sydney and Richmond have kicked more behinds than goals against us. Is it any wonder weโ€™re 3-8...
