Bayley Fritsch
I predict Fristch will end up with 56 goals and fall just short of McKay. Hawkins could go past if McKay provided Cameron doesn't take too many goals off him. A fantastic effort nonetheless by Fritter, and an inspired bit of trading/drafting to use the pick we traded for Jack Watts for a 45-50 goal a year mid forward.

Finals 2021
We haven't won the thing yet and I have to keep reminding myself of this. But, yeah it's a cruel twist to send the GF to a state where VICs will not be able to attend under any circumstances (unless you can quarantine in TAS or NT and then risk wasting your time and effort if we lost a prelim) . Mind you if cases persist here, we won't be able to travel to any state regardless. QLD and SA would typically require 14 days without community transmission and WA a full 28.

Tommy Sparrow
If you had to choose between the two for finals, you'd be choosing Jordon due his body of work throughout the entire season. However, he has not been good for a month and his spot would be under some sort of question when Viney returns.

VOTES: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
Unless your Tony Lockett that kicks 150 goals a year, in modern day AFL you get BOG if you kick 7 goals. 6) Fritsch 5) Langdon 4) Salem 3) Gawn 2) Jackson 1) Petracca I really should be putting Oliver in the votes but his goal kicking fiascos are annoying and concerning for finals. So I put Petracca in there instead who bobbed up at the right moment to either kick them or set them up. Lever incredibly stiff too.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
Agree with your sentiments. Watching games on TV rather than attending week in week out just isn’t as good. Although, with our list profile, our gun mids under contract, our key defenders at the peak of their careers and our exciting 18-20 year olds who are taking the AFL by storm, we’ll hopefully have a sustained crack at premierships rather than a once and once only crack at it in 2021.

CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Geelong
This is so unfair on Geelong. So on that basis, it should be moved to the MCG.

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
Two unusual observations: 1) We’re winning the free kick count convincingly. 2) We actually have more goals than behinds.

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
I would think yes, given the events of the last fortnight. This would be the textbook “flat week” if ever there’s one.

Anyone have Sparrow in their finals side?

Fritsch and Pickett have 0 possessions, 1 free against and 1 fifty mtr penalty conceded between the two of them.

Finals 2021
Apparently Pert has insisted we play at least one of our home finals at the MCG regardless of crowds. My gut feel is if we finish top 2, the qualifying final will be at the MCG. Not sure what happens if unfortunately we host a semi final (and I mean unfortunately because it would’ve meant we lost week 1) The prelims and grand finals could very well be played in Adelaide and/or Perth.

Finals 2021
If Geelong have the option of hosting GHMBA stadium finals because of no crowds at the MCG, then surely we’re better off playing Port in Adelaide than Geelong in Geelong. To my mind Geelong’s home ground advantage is more pronounced than Port’s regardless of crowds, and therefore more difficult to beat.

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
I’m actually pointing out how outstanding our season has been to beat all but one side, assuming we salute today. That’s next level brilliant. It’s a positive comment.

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
Not sure nationally, but our game today will only be on Fox Footy from a Victorian perspective. Perhaps In SA it will be on channel 7 but doubtful anywhere else.

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
The last time we beat Adelaide at the G, (the late) Colin Sylvia, Jurrah and Moloney were running amok. Let’s hope Collingwood are the only side we couldn’t beat in 2021.

How are Port not leading given all of Carlton’s outs?
-
NON MFC: Rd 22 2021
No. If no cases in regional VIC for 2 weeks, then they might let in 6,000 odd.

31-0 Can’t see Geelong winking this.

Yeah, Saints have got this one in the bag.

Bit of a chance. If WC lose both their games and Essendon lose once than they’re in (assuming they beat Geelong and Freo at Marvel next week)

Sounds like the 2018 finals series.

NON MFC: Rd 22 2021
Are you assuming St Kilda are beating Geelong or Dogs are beating Port next week?

NON MFC: Rd 22 2021
I have it engrained in my mind that we simply lose to Geelong in Geelong. Whether it’s Zac Thuoey kicking a goal after a siren or losing by 100 pints 2 games after a prelim appearance. Bad things happens down there to Melbourne. Be delighted to be proven wrong. Port could most certainly beat the Dogs.

NON MFC: Rd 22 2021
Dogs losing doesn’t really help us if: Port win twice Geelong win twice. If that’s the case we’ll all be booking flights for Adelaide for the qualifying final.

Clayton Oliver or Max Gawn having a shot for goal from 20 mtrs out directly in front to win the grand final after the siren would be pretty cruel. Or Spargo anywhere from outside 35.
