  1. Thanks FTB. Fair to say about 150-200 seats left in that area. Be interesting if/how quickly they sell out. Highly recommend sitting in this area, as it's away from the Geelong riff-raff.
  2. Jack Viney - Anzac/Daniher quinella!
  3. And they’re probably the better behaved contingent of Collingwood supporters.
  4. Triple M just interviewed Josh Fraser and he certainly didn’t deny the rumour.
  5. Elliott kicked 7 against us last year across the two games, so it’s a fantastic out from our point of view. He’s the type of player that would seize on the big moments in last quarters that today provides.
  6. There’s going to be a super ordinary side this year that sneaks into the top 4. Essendon, St Kilda, Adelaide…
  7. If we lose we ain’t a contender. Pure and simple. 0-4 against the big boys and I include Essendon (8-5) in that group. The revised goal will be to win ONE final if things go south today.
  8. Was that the game Greg Williams got 44 touches and failed to get a Brownlow vote?
  9. I’m concerned Essendon will finish top 4 with a weak as water fixture to come home with. Can someone allay my fears?
  10. Given the availability on offer in the top 4….surely not Essendon?
  11. Good that Elliott’s out.
  12. When you put it like that, it’s fair to say that Collingwood will never be as gettable all year as they will be tomorrow. Whether we can take full advantage of it is another matter.
  13. J Daicos, Cox, N Daicos and Maynard all have apparently trained this weekend. So all the speculation about them missing games due to colds/COVID will probably be unfounded.
  14. Pies have De Goey, Sidebottom, Howe and possibly Elliott missing. Who else is missing from them?
  15. Just had a look at the Collingwood training thread on Bigfooty forum. - Elliott didn’t do match sim and apparently said to supporters that’s he’s not playing. - McStay didn’t do match sim either. - McCreey a solid chance to play. - Cox trained well despite COVID rumours. - J Daicos didn’t train due to illness.
  16. I think we had a win over Freo on expected scores back in round 11. If top 2/4/8 doesn’t go our way, the Freo loss will be at front of our regret line.
  17. All salient points. However, Geelong is Geelong. I just can’t write them off in any way shape or form. Meanwhile if the grand final/hostile venue gets the better of some or all of Butters, Rozee, and JHF then the experienced Collingwood side will overwhelm them. I would love nothing more than us being in the conversation in relation to sides that can threaten Collingwood, like you mentioned above.
  18. Because Geelong. Write them off at your peril despite the hard draw you’ve conveyed. Chris Scott’s a freak of a coach that will get his side on some stupid 9 game winning streak, or 10 of last 11. Are the only threat to Collingwood’s flag this year.
  19. Josh Daicos out or under a massive cloud would be amazing for us.
  20. I suspect if Cox test s negative by Monday and is feeling ok, then they’ll play him.
  21. Why are we still debating if Collingwood are or are not a great side? Since round 10 last year they’ve gone 24-5 and have won literally every MCG home and away game during that period. Their only MCG blemish was a 6 point week 1 finals loss to Geelong. They’re a side that is clearly suited to the venue where premierships are won. Collingwood are the best side in the league to date and it would be one of the biggest failures in the history of their club if they don’t win this year’s flag given the high potentiality of a massive home ground advantage over Port or Brisbane in the GF.
  22. As it shouldn’t be paid on Monday. It was just an incorrect call.
  23. The umpires like players will be held accountable for poor performances such as the Baker call and the non holding the ball call against Alir. Thats why finals are generally well umpired.
  24. Is it fair to say that the only way Port or Brisbane win this year’s flag is if they play each other in the GF? Can’t see either overcoming the home state and home ground advantage that Collingwood will likely own this year.
  25. Yeah he’s a big boy, I’m sure he’ll handle it. Doesn’t explain why the opposition supporters boo him for less than no reason.
