Yes, against Sydney and the Dogs that was evident. The other games he played this year he held his own. Would prefer to keep him for depth but can't blame him for seeking better opps.
-
I know he's not as good as Petty as a defender, but he could replace Petty as a permanent defender and Petty move forward. (Turner the other option) I thought he was solid in the early rounds of 2022 when were missing Lever and Petty and played an excellent game against Port in NT in round 18. Was very quick to be omitted after ordinary games against Sydney and Bulldogs where as others were immune from an axing. But yeah, for the betterment of his career, he probably needs to find a club light on for key defenders.

If we end up getting Grundy, I hope we get the 2019 model. 23 brownlow votes including back-back-back 3 vote games. Had games of 25 possessions/8 marks/2 goals/ 50 hitouts/ 3 brownlow votes. Elite.

Records we can be proud of
Bring-Back-Powell replied to La Dee-vina Comedia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agreed. Not one player gave a yelp in the second half or remotely looked like arresting the very heavy Freo momentum. No MFC player deserved a vote that evening on the back of a 1 half effort. -
I hope for Goodwin's sake it was his call rather than May's. Petty was responsible for literally every score involvement which gave us a faint chance, and therefore I assumed it was good coaching by a coach that didn't have a great 2022.
-
The fact that 11% of people around here want Geelong to win is surprisingly high, given they're probably the most despised club on Demonland.
-
Will always hold a special part of all our hearts when he kicked that long goal against GC in 2019 to avoid what would've been a disastrous loss.
-
I'm actually pumped for the game and scored a ticket through the AFL members. But I love grand final day regardless of who's playing. Going for Sydney just for the LOLS on Scott's face if they get done. Expect Geelong to win by 7-10 goals. Didn't like Sydney's second half and Reid probably out hurts their structure (a bit like T Mac hurting ours.)

Cripps and Miller tie is my tip.
-
Cripps got 41 touches that night. Umpires clearly looked at the stats sheet prior to voting.
-
On the expected to poll chart they keep bringing up, he has the most games of the contenders expected to vote. Cripps is in this thing up to his eye balls.
-
Any MCC or AFL members going to the big dance? Tickets were easy to get for AFL gold members.
-
Fabulous goal by Woey. Hopefully he can be an option for us next year.
-
And we’ll get an instant upgrade in output in season 2023 from the previous number 6 in 2022.
-
Collingwood blew the premiership against Geelong. Had they won that, they would’ve spanked Brisbane last night and and played a GF on the ground they play their best footy by a mile.
-
James Brayshaw for suggesting Geelong have been the best side of the past decade despite winning about 0 premierships. Geelong really are the “boys club” of the AFL.
-
But for every Geelong there’s a Port in 2022, Collingwood in 2021, GWS in 2020, Dees in 2019, Adelaide in 2018. Clubs that didn’t recover after an exceptionally bad finals performance the year prior.
-
Brisbane won’t recover from this. How often does a club get spanked in a final and then go dramatically backwards the next year.
-
It would help a bit if they’re marquee Brownlow midfielder could touch the prune more than twice a quarter.
-
Geelong are well truly prepared to win this years flag. They’ve had the luxury of resting players and look supremely fit across the board. And tbey’ve been mostly excellent at the G. Poor Holmes looks done for with a hammy.
-
Lachie Neal still hasn’t touched the prune since early in the second qtr.
-
Lions were $8 at half time last week.
-
Lachie Neale- 1 possession in the second quarter so far. You stop him, you stop Brisbane.
-
Brisbane been taking lessons from our inside 50 entires? Geelong have taken about 58 intercept marks by half time.
-
Hipwood the hero last week. Tonight 0 possessions and responsible for a Geelong goal because he missed a sitter.
