  1. Well, whatever Goody said at half time, it worked...
  2. My cunning disguise got me into the Tigers reserved seat area. "BAAAALLLL!!!" EVERY TIME "Were gonna get killed by this Pettard bloke!"
  3. Richmond kaos ball going i50 is showing up May and Lever, who both cannot bend over to get the ball. Their small/med forwards tearing up up
  4. Gawn is better below his knees than May
  5. Fortunate to be only 8 points down, very fortunate
  6. Our backline is a mess in the first half
  7. Same old. Most weeks we cannot make the most of our i50s in first quarter
  8. 3 turnovers and a kick i50 to a 3 on 1 But he's played 70 of the last 72 games, so he must be ok, right?
  9. Cats vs Freo at KP That'll sort out the % differential between them and Hawks!
  10. Happy that Tommo and Woey have held their spot Thought the former might've been dropped for Petty Woey will have his quiet patches, but IMO worth getting games into him Will we see Blake Howes before the season finishes?
  11. Unusual tactics that year. From Demonwiki for 1979: "The club was so desperate for a competitive advantage that they had a consultant who practised a process called 'eyeballing', where players were encouraged to sit with knees touching and stare into each other's eyes, then be frank about their feelings towards their teammates contribution." Imagine touching knees with Big Carl or Fabulous Phil Carman!
  12. So Trac has had nearly twice as many shots on goal as Nibbler despite playing mostly in the midfield (until a couple of weeks ago)? Maybe there's that upgrade once Clarry returns!
  13. 182cm is more small than medium. May not be our smallest forward, certainly not a marking medium sized forward like Fritter But good for you binman if your happy with his output
  14. Yeah, you're right binman. He's hit peak form, having a great year. So good below his knees for a small foward, great kick, always hits a target under pressure. That kick to Hunter in the dying moments of the Alice match was all class If we were to trade for Liam Henry, and Chandler continues his improvment, there's the upgrade! Have no doubt he'll play another bunch of afl games, just wanting better output from our most experienced small forward Quick quiz. Which MFC small forward has only kicked 100 goals in 150 games?
  15. Blues fans carrying on in last, lol It's their grand final!
  16. Harmes? Seriously? Nearly as big a momentum killer as Neal-Bullen Gives away stupid frees, makes bad choices, average disposal, poor under pressure Look forward to the day we can upgrade from JH and ANB
  17. A lot of variables in that theory, Red. Anything can happen in 2 years. I'd rather develop Reid with us rather than leave WCE to f[censored] him up, and then us give them a kp gun ready to go
  18. On top of Grundy playing forward for Casey, it was pleasing to see young Jefferson crash a few packs and do some nice things on the weekend. Add a bit more muscle and bigger tank over summer and he's right in the mix for games in 2024 Keep it up young man - you and JVR are the future of our forward line!
  19. Its a rehearsal for him leaving WCE and returning to Vic in a year's time
  20. Either trade up for 1 or stick with 4 and a combo of other selections. Maybe use 16 and 23 to get a better pick. Can't see us trading for 2 or 3 The prospect of using 4 on the tall WA lad might just be the leverage for prizing out pick 1
  21. Speaking demon bloodlines, I read there's a young Alfie Rowley playing for the Vic U12 team. Grandson of the great RDB. Can we start lobbying for a new grandfather/grandson rule? After all, they adapted the rules years ago for RDB himself!
  22. Not sure that offer would add much to the kitty
  23. The positives are that we won games against Coll and Bris without him, and that he will surely be fresh and ready to go when he returns ready for finals Has been great to see Riv, Sparrow, etc lift in his absence Would like Trac to play more forward when Clarry returns
