An NT team would be bloody awesome. Makes sense from an AFL perspective - bringing in two teams means an extra game every weekend. Both NT and Tas are footy heartlands that would add to the national competition. Can't imagine the NT side would beat the Tassie side away very often and vice versa 😂

Would love Tassie to get a side. Have been to bellerive footy and cricket, it's a great little ground. Would love to watch the dees there with 15k rabid taswegians.

I think the show benefits when they've got a previous match and next match to talk about. Gives it a bit of structure.

Mid 40s. Ruined by fixturing. Harder for kids, country people, interstaters. Neutrals less likely to turn up - there would've been a big number for a rnd 1 GF replay. Plus dogs fans don't really travel to the G and some people still staying away cos of covid. It will have an enormous TV audience which is of course why the AFL are playing it on a Wednesday.

I reckon Smith will be preferred over Hibberd this year. He was basically first choice at the end of last year. Hibberd only played prelim and granny once Smith got injured.

He did it against Richmond this year after pickett's goal. He's as tough as nails and may well be our best player ever but he doesn't mind milking a free. Most players do it.

I was at this game as a 7yo! I was also behind the goals at the Yarra Falls end. Was a real eye opener! One of my favourite days at the footy. They were closing these grounds just as I started going to the footy so I've only been to Vic Park, Princes Park, Western Oval, Kardinia Park and Waverley if that counts. I loved the old grounds with their rawness and idiosyncrasies. I've watched Melbourne in Hobart and Canberra which are similar in some ways but don't have the same passionate atmosphere because there are so many neutrals. I'd love to watch Melbourne play a Tassie team down there.

Jealous!!! That sounds like a bloody great trip!! One thing in our favour is that we are the first flag team in history that has unfinished business - to win one back in Melbourne. And I'm looking forward to watching it happen in the next few years!!

Fair enough- different people experience things differently.

We humiliated Geelong twice in a month. And more importantly we're premiers. Who cares about losses from a decade ago?

I like Brayshaw and I think his bang thing was awesome and is now iconic. But I think my favourite call of Clarry's goal was on ABC radio. I don't know who the caller was but he said "the demons...they're seeing what paradise must look like." Which just felt completely accurate because in that moment we all left this mortal realm.

Clarry's goal for me. My head said 24 points was still game on, but in my heart I knew.
