And then there's covid - I had two mates that would've come on Sat but had covid. I actually reckon there might've been more than 60k dees at that elimination final. Which begs the question how many come out of the woodwork for finals.

Also Ralph said on Fri night McDonald might be right to play VFL by the pre-finals break. That'd give him 3 games of footy before potentially being available for a prelim.

McDonald kicked only 3 goals in the finals last year. Two of them were in the last 5 mins of the GF. He battled away manfully and did the little things well but was not in his ripping early season form after getting injured late in the year. We can definitely still win the flag without a firing second tall.

If we can rediscover our top form, it doesn't matter where we finish and none of these permutations are relevant. I reckon there's been glimpses in the last few weeks and we were leggy for the cats game. I think we're about to see a magical couple of months.

Thanks for posting this. I've read a few pages of our RAP but haven't read it all (which I should). I think this quote you posted sums up what most people think the club is and should be doing with regards to reconciliation: "our vision for reconciliation is to unite Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with non-Indigenous people through the game of AFL". I think this is a worthy goal and I'm glad our club, and the AFL in general pursues this - as they have done for about 3 decades now. From your perspective, how many times a season is the optimal number to wear the Indigenous jumper to achieve that goal I've stated above?

It's so weird posters keep claiming people are linking performance to the jumper. By my count only one comment has done this over two pages.

Because we'll likely wear it 4 times again next year, which many feel is too many.
