I've been to manuka a couple of times and it's a great little ground. It would be perfect if there were 7k diehard giants fans to give it some atmosphere. There's generally 500 Melbourne supporters, 500 giants and the rest are neutral meaning it's kind of a weird atmosphere. You feel like you're in the minority in actually caring about the game.

I reckon this is true - we were the best in the comp by an absolute mile last year. Don't have to be as dominant as last year to still be the best team!

No doubt monistering them in the clearances will lead to numerous wasted entries that will build angst amongst the faithful, but surely we'll get it done.

As repeated over and over, Melbourne has high fan to attendance and fan to membership ratios. We are not, and never have been, a fair weather supporter group. What you in fact asking for, is for us to be more fair weather - higher attendances in a post-flag year where we are in premiership contention again. And you can bet your bottom dollar we'd be accused of being fair weather had our attendances skyrocketed this year.
