  1. Not sure you’ll find too many on here who’d wanna sit in the middle of the Lions cheer squad. 😂 As for gate no. entry, I assumed it was possible since I rarely enter through the right gate. Clearly there are some instances where you can enter through a different gate and walk around once inside.
  2. I’m pretty sure you can enter through gate four and walk around to your section once you’re inside.
  3. All clubs support their cheer squads to varying degrees. MFC is extremely supportive. And there’s a camaraderie between cheer squads, (for the most part). Squads help each other out. Especially when a club is playing interstate and may not have all of their gear. Or when they are short of volunteers. For example, at Friday’s AFLW match we were in the race with North’s cheer squad preparing to raise the banner. They had a very small banner crew which means very hard work for the few, we were willing to help raise theirs. This has happened before. On this occasion though, we asked permission on their behalf to grab a couple of North supporters from the crowd so it was all good. #SquadBros 😁 edit: that doesn’t mean we don’t snigger a little when we see a shi*tty banner. 😂
  4. Two words, Kev… [censored] ponchos! edit: soz, thought I was in the Fill the ‘G thread. But the two words still apply.
  5. Sure is. Had that happened to us, no doubt our Club would’ve helped pay for new gear. I’m not by any means bagging any other club, but our Club is very supportive of the DA. And it helps that the DA is harmonious, unlike some other cheer squads, not mentioning names, one of which may or may not be named after a small domestic feline. 😏
  6. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Just because some teams’ fans aren’t as loud as they should be doesn’t mean it’s okay for us to be that way. I was at the Saints vs. Swans match a couple of weeks ago and was astonished by how loud the Sydney fans were. They have a huge cheer squad and they had many more fans. But the Saints fans were also vocal, it was admirable. Their cheer squad is very small but super loud. They have it tough, too. They only had three floggers (in comparison we have 10-12) and a smattering of little flags (no massive ones like us). Incidentally, their storage facility was broken into during the off-season and much of their squad gear was stolen. But you wouldn’t know it by the noise they make, which is bolstered by the noise their fans in general make. IT CAN - AND SHOULD - BE DONE!!!
  7. You shouldn’t need to be inspired to cheer for YOUR team though. You know, the team we LOVE. It’s not easy to make a lot of noise when your team’s losing or playing poorly, but you just DO IT. We do it during every single match, for the ENTIRE match. This is by far and away the single hardest thing about being in the cheer squad. We could be 20 goals down with a minute left on the clock and still we’d barrack hard and loud. Do you know how hard it is to chant and cheer while sad, or even crying? It’s extremely hard. But we do it for the boys. I don’t see why others can’t follow suit.
  8. Same, Wodja. People not turning up to H&A games for whatever reasons/excuses is one thing. But I was so sure these selfsame people would turn up for finals. I’m astounded at the rate of no-shows. Maybe people were happier when we were 💩 and didn’t make finals. Sounds silly, but what else could it be? PS: At halftime I came to where you were sitting but couldn’t spot anyone fitting your description. But I did make some new friends, which will happen when you stand in the aisle like an eejit eyeballing everyone for an unsettlingly long time. 😁
  9. This is so insulting to the many, many Dees supporters who made the trip to Perth or who already were living/staying in Perth, who turned up to support OUR team in the quest to win the premiership. The crowd that day were PHENOMENAL! For you to disparage them so is shameful.
  10. HAPPY FATHER’S DAY DEMONLAND DADS!!! … and GRANDADS! And even GREAT-GRANDADS!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
  11. Why isn’t this being talked about!? Rhetorical question. 🙄 Yeah, this clip is obvs comical, but it makes me so angry. Hashtag Franklin sux. IMG_2706.MOV
  12. As Lenny Kravitz says, “it ain’t over ‘til it’s over” ❤️💙
  13. I also take a degree of joy from that… a HUGE degree. And I’m happy for Nat Fyfe and Gussy’s lil bro. 🙂
  14. It kinda is when compared to the results of the other three matches. 😁
  15. Awesome game. Apart from our match this has been an amazing week 1 of this finals series.
  16. I mean, it’s not 100 pts to 7 pts, but what is it with Dogs in finals at Optus?
  17. Freo were perilously close to a goalless first half. And now they’re looking like world-beaters.
  18. How much of your winnings have you spent in your head? 😬
  19. He looks like every animated character in the video games my son plays.
