Hey @binman, you guys were discussing the expected weather/ground conditions for Friday night. This is from a Brissie Dees fan. I know their definition of freezing is different to ours, but the dewy grass bit might be true.

I saw absolutely nothing. It’s difficult to see the action from the opposite end as it is, but given the heightened emotions at that point, it was impossible. (Also doesn’t help when you’re sitting with your head in your hands crying already coz you’ve conceded defeat.) 😁 Most of us only knew a goal had been scored by the reaction of the fans in the adjoining bay or if looking at the big screen. I don’t even remember the time between that goal and the siren. We go nuts as it is after every goal in every match. So you can imagine this celebration was next level, off the charts, absolutely wild. Put it this way, I woke the next day with literally no voice, not even the standard raspy one of other mornings-after. And I was shocked to see that I have bruises, many of them, on my legs! And a few around my rib cage. The sharp-edged seats at the ‘G are not excited revellers’ friends. Nor are the flagpoles, nor even the giant heads. Our area looked like a bomb had gone off. I’m not the only one battered and bruised either. But not one of us is complaining. 😊 #SquadLife

I hereby apologise for thinking premierships are NOT all that matters (sic) and thereby being part of the reason our club was one of the worst sporting club (sic) in the country year after year. Geez you’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t! Too many times ppl misquote or misinterpret or read between the lines of other people’s comments. And they’re taken to task for it. So I quote him verbatim, and with zero ambiguity and I’m likewise having to explain. He said “it’s all about flags and nothing else” which I took to mean it’s all about flags and nothing else, ergo I feel sorry for him.

Again, this has NOTHING to do with players. And again, I feel sorry for fans who have the “Flag or Bust” mentality. That’s all this is.

He said, “it’s all about the flags and nothing else” I feel sorry for someone who rates a flag as the only “something” to be satisfied with and who doesn’t rate anything short of that. My comment has nothing even remotely close to the Dogga issue. Nor is it an emotion-based comment. I genuinely feel sorry for any Dees fan who has the “Flag or Bust” mentality.

Why? Because… ”It’s all about the flags and nothing else” That’s why.

It’s never too late to change the title of the thread. Just a suggestion as it’s entirely up to you. 👍🏽

I would LOVE you guys (all three of you!) to sing Melksy’s praises! Loud and unrestrained. He’s copped nothing but disdain on Demonland, and from Dees fans in general. Goody even mentioned in his post-match that Jake has been maligned. It’d be so cool to hear you guys talk about the Melksy qualities and how they can help us go all the way! Thank you 🙂

The win was awesome as it was, and the barely concealed disappointment of the commentators was the icing on the big red and blue cake! And I’m with you AmDam: simply cannot understand a Dees fan being anything short of elated right now. GO THE MIGHTY DEES!!! ALL THE WAY!!!
