Nothing at all wrong with that. I was replying to Jaded’s implication that he’s not “heart n soul” since he looked for midfield minutes elsewhere. I asserted that he is indeed heart n soul based on what I’ve learned about the dynamics of our players as well other Club info but obviously am not gonna divulge since I’m not stupid.

It’s interesting 🤔 People love to bandy the whole “Culture” thing about with abandon, without stopping to think what Culture even means. The consensus is Culture is the foundation upon which success is built, among many other things just as important. So then a player who (trust me on this) is hands down THE most popular among his teammates, who for reasons many and varied would be THE MOST missed by his teammates, is rumoured to be leaving, forced or otherwise, people can’t see that this has the potential to erode what is currently an envious and successful Culture. I’m by no means saying if Harmesy left us that’d be the death Knell of our Club but ffs it also wouldn’t leave our Club to any degree unscathed.

When you’re SOOOOO tempted to share on DL what you’ve been lucky enough to have been privy to but can’t because that’ll mean betraying a confidence. And because you know it may cast our Club in a bad light which is not cool. And because you KNOW Demonland is not by any stretch ignored by the Club in terms of reading content. So again… Heart and bloody soul, trust me

I’ve been told from someone who knows most of our players pretty well about the interaction between the boys and how certain players are regarded by other players. James IS the heart and soul of this team. So despite some halfwits who may laugh at you, you’re spot on with your comment. 🙂

Knowing it was definitely gonna happen doesn’t make this any easier. Especially when one stupidly harboured a faint hope right until the end that he somehow might stay. They certainly are! In general, Poles LOVE Aussies. They think we’re exotic. Let’s let them believe it. 😁 I left a heap of Dees stuff there a couple of years ago - tea towels, beanies, scarves, posters etc. - for my son’s father-in-law who’s sports-mad and who’d given me similar but for Legia Warszawa, his soccer team. He gave some of the Dees stuff to kids in a tiny village and apparently they are now Demons fans, albeit without choice. WCW promoting Aussie Rules in Poland. You’re welcome, Gil! I totally agree, Layz. It’s always going to be about the club. And rightly so. I’m (almost) always v sad when a player leaves. I regard our players as like sons and I liken their departure from the club to them leaving home. Ordinarily it’s like when my (real) son left home and now lives in Footscray. But with Jayden it’s like when my other son - also real :) - left home and now lives in Warsaw. And no matter how many times this happens… 💔 It never gets any easier.
