  1. Gus Brayshaw you star, loved his speech. Also enjoyed Brad Greens address looking forward to the outcomes of the reviews although they should all be fully independent. Unfortunately not particularly inspired by Goodwins speech hopefully the players were. Congratulations to all the award winners, especially Nibbler. Thanks for your service to our club and for the slice of humble pie that you gave me by stringing consistent years of football together with a club first mentality.
  2. Could not agree more. Our first pick absolutely needs to be the quick, skilled mid field type to balance up the list. We need to go away from the “Melbourne type” of contested ball bull. Every player should be expected to go when it’s their turn, Windsor despite his frame a classic example. We need speed and elite disposal to sort out our mid to forward line connection issues. Taken way too long to address, this draft with it’s depth is the perfect opportunity to do so and imperative that we do now before Tassie comes in otherwise we are treading water.
  3. Would prefer a forward coach that actually plied their trade as a specialist forward. Aces in their places. Same goes for players we need to stop converting defenders into forwards. Our forward line is dis functional and has been for way too long. There is no system.
  4. I think we are at the stage now where the AFL should be diluting the priority access that Brisbane and Sydney to players. Both teams are now well established in their respective cities and have been consistently successful. I am OK to let Gold Coast continue as is as they haven’t a here’s anything yet and their academy is starting to develop local league players. However they should never have been given Darwin as a zone which was ours. Happy for GWS to continue to an extent as they need to make more traction in their market, however they should not have the Victorian Riverina as a part of their zone.
  5. Not sure how anyone could underrate that win. If not for the result but it was the attacking intent that we played with on that day. Another reason I keep watching replays of that game. Would love to see more of that on a regular basis.
  6. For no other reason than I hope it gets me a bigger tax deduction.
  7. My take from last nights game is that whoever Sydney’s forward line coach is I hope we are right into them with a godfather offer. The amount of space and separation they create for their forwards, the running lanes they create for good high percentage looks at looks at goal on a very small ground is amazing. They are a very well structured forward line.
  8. Out : Adrian Anderson In : Carlton’s Lawyer
  9. Ironical that a bloke that was disciplined by the club for doing burnouts in the Trinity Grammar car park on his way out from a pre season training session had an issue with training at Cranbourne where burnouts are a way of life.
  10. It’s Ok Rab, you’re a good gers man. Scotland played it well, let’s be honest the Scots don’t like spending money. Good on them.
  11. No…….. we should never have bid for them in the first place. Millions wasted….again. We will need to rely on self funding and the federal government for a training base. Victoria is broke.
  12. I hope to see starting at this draft heavy investment in our midfield. I hope to see a huge commitment to the offensive side of our game. Should be our number 1 priority this off season. i hope to see or hear something concrete about a training base.
  13. We have also paid for Scotland to host the commonwealth games add that to the list.
  14. Disappointed to lose Nibbler, he was a good servant of the club amd I wish him well in the future. However Tim Lamb’s job is to get the best deal for Melbourne. If that deal is with the Power then so be it. We are under no obligation to get him to the Crows.
  15. Tarryn Thomas was effectively delisted or sacked by North and deservedly so. It can be done.
  16. To be honest I would have delisted Smith.
  17. Agree with all you’ve said. Want to highlight the Murphy Reid comment, that is exactly our problem. We need to diversify and get away from the “Melbourne Type of player”. The game has changed and evolved since 2021…………we haven’t as a club.
  18. Nailed it Teddy!!!! Wants to go to the bottle throwers or play alongside Maynard and Moore FFS. Side by side hey. Still acting like a child if you ask me. A petulant one at that. Wish him well in his health and mental health but he’s not endearing himself to many. Buyer beware!!!
  19. KFW will be playing for Chelsea in the MPFNL next year. Hopefully in division 1. Go Gulls and go Dees!!!!!
  20. Is Petracca the right guy??????? He is damaging his own “brand”
  21. Is Half Back Flanker rhyming slang for something???? Either way it’s a no from me.
  22. Not so sure about that. We wouldn’t make a good cricket team. We rarely appeal.
  23. Cooper is a really nice kid and has a good frame. We have spoken to him but the club showing the most interest so far is Geelong.
