  1. Couldn’t agree more. By and large we do set up incredibly well behind the ball. Our method there is very sound. Our set up ahead of the ball is poor, personal does play a part but I think it is more method based. We don’t really commit to a switch. We chip it around to shuffle the zone. But when we are a team that is poor by foot or overuses it in wet / slippery conditions I don’t understand why we don’t use the switch more aggressively and play a bit more direct football. I also think we are vulnerable to a switch as I don’t think as a team we have a great deal of pure leg speed. We have drafted / traded for speed and skill. I do look forward to see how we play with Petty, McAdam, Windsor and Kozzie in the side. Hopefully we play with more commitment to speed on the ball and a more attacking mindset. Then we will truly know whether it is personal or method.
  2. It’s our inability to halt momentum. Would love to see us change things up a bit more when teams get a run on and go more man on defence or even a split zone decence but we seem to persist with a full zone. Our mantra is contest and defence yet we play so much zone. Would love us to mix things up a bit more than we do. And then when we do win the ball more speed in transition, honour the switch and have some forwards that actually stay at home instead of pushing so high up the ground.
  3. Giants look scary good. Hard at the contest, speed, skill. Very disciplined across the ground with everyone playing their role. Have the ability to make the ground small when defending but big when they are in possession which is great coaching. The thing that stood out for me was their talls would fly for a mark or bring it to ground and every single time there was a small at their feet ready. Can play tempo footy at the right time.Talent and structure the team to beat this year for me.
  4. Agree, will be like playing Port Adelaide every week.
  5. Don’t entirely disagree with you but it’s within the law of the game now. Tactical nous, other clubs have it……we do not.
  6. Unfortunately I think it is closed. Others going past us and giving us windburn on the way through. To our Western Australian brethren who witnessed in the flesh football nirvana, I genuinely envy you. I do think we will make finals but wouldn’t surprise me if we just miss out. I just think there are teams out there with deeper lists and better coached.
  7. At least he got to sing the song after the game tonight.
  8. Seems nothing much has changed. Chronic overuse of the ball in wet conditions and In efficiency going forward and in our conversion. We can usually hang out hat on defence but that was poor as well.
  9. I detest Thursday night football. Ruins your Friday as well as the weekend.
  10. The way we’re playing we couldn’t get a bang in a brothel
  11. Feel like I’m watching a game of tennis but with a football
  12. Get the grippo out FFS. The only positive in this half is Salem.
  13. White baggers easily beat the blue baggers ( if you don’t laugh you cry ) To all those in the media that have been potting us eat a bag of [censored]!!!!!! Go the Mighty Demons
  14. Should Angus be financially compensated absolutely. But in no way should Melbourne be paying it or wearing it in our cap. Unfortunately through no fault of ours Angus is no longer an employee of the Melbourne Football Club. The Melbourne Football Club exercised its duty of care on and for Angus, the AFL did not. This on them and should be coming out of league coffers.
  15. Now unfortunately a few weeks away from round zero (ohh FFS) we essentially have two unused spots on our list
  16. Thanks for the memories Angus, wishing you all the best in your future. You are a true demon warrior and class act. Brayden Maynard you are a [censored]!!!!!!!!!
  17. Because Jack Viney said so And I’m OK with that. But this round zero thing has got me well and truly [censored]!!!!

  19. Meanwhile Hawthorn have turned the first sod of soil of their Kennedy Community Centre training facility in Dingley. Albo, Andrew Dillon and the state sports minister all present.
  20. Maybe we could do a Dees supporters rate Herald Sun Journalists
  21. Southern Football League Division 1. Was kind of hoping he would play Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League. Will have to watch him play round 1 at Chelsea Heights ironically against the demons.
  22. I get where you are coming George and we may live in a glass house but don’t think we have thrown any stones. The difference being that in our AFLW team still exists and our home ground whether people like it or not is Casey. Oval 2 at Casey is the home of our Next Generation Academy (including females) so far I think we have kept our side of the bargain with the exception being playing 2 home finals at Ikon.
  23. Sizzlers shut up shop years ago Bluey!!!
