PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Carlton
Midfield needs to step up or at least halve the contest, that is the only area of the ground that they have us covered. We will learn about the team this game, are we truly selfless and connected……. I hope so because that should mean that we kick the ball to where Weitering ain’t. T Mac, just a no fuss blue collar player that’s just ultra consistent. Max the undisputed goat and an absolute warrior. Congratulations and thanks to both on your 250 games.I expect the team to get up for this one and get the job done. Demons by 5 goals.

Clarity and Perspective
I can see where we are going and I am ok with it. There will be bumps along the way but all I want is hope. Small sample size but my only concern is that we still allow a lot of uncontested possession….that cannot continue because the good sides will punish us. We are on the right path and I am supportive of every decision the club has made post 2025.

Farewell Oskar Baker
Was a nice goal. He looks like an extra on a porn movie from the 70’s / 80’s ……. Apparently

Couldn’t agree more. However the boundary umpires had a shocker. Clear “lasoo” feee to Melbourne not paid, but I was staggered how shallow most boundary throw ins were, falling way short. Rucks didn’t really adjust but still way too short.

Wouldn’t be against bringing the trumpeter back playing God Save The King. Would be very Melbourne.

Need to tighten up on Hill, they love to use him as an outlet.- GAMEDAY: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
Love us to pressure the ball carrier more. Allowing way too much uncontested possession. If we tidy that up we will beat this mob. We look good going forward.- Bayley Fritsch Contract Talks
With better forward entries and Mihocek at the club I see Fritta and Roo being the major beneficiaries and will have big years. We now have some quality smalls as well to compliment. I have always rated our forwards and with a better system we will put up some good numbers and shock a few, including our own supporters. Fritta is a must keep and I don’t see him going anywhere.- Exclusive Interview with Paul Guerra, Steven King & Steven Smith
Great list management for both cultural reasons and also one eye on Tasmania entering the competition. Had to happen.- The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
Not quite sure about the first paragraph. No other state is quite in our position and if the commonwealth was underwriting Victoria Glasgow wouldn’t be hosted the Commonwealth Games. Agree that $20 million should be a drop in the ocean for the state government and it absolutely should be framed as a community use project. It is obvious where the hold up is coming from. I think we will eventually get there but more patience is required.- The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
I agree there was lot of chest beating going on. Brad Green was grinning like a school kid, he must have put a whoopie cushion on Guerra’s chair. Seems that it is Caulfield or bust and state government funding is the hold up. We will have to keep being patient with the upcoming state budget and then the government will go into caretaker mode. Interesting there was no mention of the Federal Government…….only state.- The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
Doesn’t surprise me at all. Built on landfill and horribly exposed to the elements being on a hill and so open. Wait till they play AFLW games there, there could actually be nil all draws. Traffic getting in and out also an issue with little to no public transport.- PRESEASON TRAINING: Tuesday 10th March 2026
Might come in handy the way things are going, diesel if possible.- Welcome to Demonland: Steven King
Every time I hear him speak I couldn’t be more impressed and I am glad he is our coach. Haven’t been this excited for a season for ages. Good Save Our King!!!!- Farewell Christian Petracca
Not sure how I feel about Trac. Was sensational for them last night and disposal efficiency that I haven’t seen during his time at Melbourne. Didn’t like the way he left Melbourne, clearly wasn’t happy here but to be honest I wasn’t happy with the club myself. He just seems to make things about himself that rubbed me up the wrong way. Long term I think we will be fine and I am excited about our short and long term future. Will I boo him in round 4, honestly don’t know yet I am an impulsive guy and it depends how many “cheeky beers” I have had pre game.- Make an outlandish prediction for 2026
I will not make a deposit in the swear jar when we play Collingwood this year- The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
Couldn’t agree more. Happy to be know as the Gosch’s squatters until something permanent becomes official.- Welcome to Demonland: Paddy Cross
Congratulations to Paddy and good luck to him. Clearly not a like for like for Steven May more a replacement for a McAdam / Melksham. Just goes to show the more attacking mindset and philosophy of the new coach which is refreshing for both players and supporters.- Farewell Steven May
I loved his passion for the club. I genuinely think it would have been a very difficult decision to make but I appreciate and respect him for putting the club first. A premiership hero of the club and I wish him nothing but the best in the future. - POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
