Or at the very least send the runner out straight away and drag him. My Under 14 girls know that if they burn a team mate and cough up a gimme goal to head to the bench before the runner comes out. Unfortunately Bailey has form.

When your back line is so strong as is our midfield our forward line to the naked eye is our weakest line. While I have every confidence in it I would like to see us tidy up our leading patterns. When at our worst we are all up and nobody down, or run to the same space. While a great kick for goal Bailey quite often leads to the wrong pocket for a left foot kick at goal. I do like the balance we have in the team now with the extra small in Bedford, he just needs some continuity. We will peak in time for finals again.

Concerns With Our Small Forwards
Dee Viney Intervention replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
The whole forward line is dysfunctional. But our smalls are Kosi aside not applying enough tackling pressure. The ball comes out of our forward line far too easy -
Steven May Suspended by the Club

Would of loved for Max to sign off from that press conference by saying “thanks but I’ve got to go and mow my lawn” #manscaped -
Jake Melksham to miss Round 13
Dee Viney Intervention replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Would have been more believable if the club just said that Melksham is unavailable for selection this week as he has monkeypox -
CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

Interesting that Max in his press conference dropped the name Daniel Turner. Early selection news perhaps -

Ohhhh FFS. Just suspend him for the bye round. -
GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Dee Viney Intervention replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
For a team that prides itself on its contested ball we are doing a lot of ball watching. Bowey twice has watched a swans player claim a mark that was clearly touched yet no tackle laid. General lack of intensity and poor by hand. -
MFC Rebranding for Indigenous Round

Great initiative by the club. Also like the ploy to introduce more white into the jumper to draw as many free kicks for as another team that wears red, blue and white. -
Unfair fixtures for Top 4 contenders

Conspiracy theory. Who is the current Afl Operations boss and is there a family link. Who was the previous AFL operations boss and what club does he work at now. Geelong has been receiving charity for years in the rebuild of its stadium, why stop now. -
As long as Jake Bowie doesn’t get Covid….. We win.

I hate the 3 teams that start with the letter “c” Carlton Collingwood Essendon

The very, very contentious 50 for Dissent Rule
Dee Viney Intervention replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
Never thought I would ever say this but with the standard of umpiring going backwards I wouldn’t be against a captains challenge rule. Each team 2 per game and keep it if successful. Classic example captains challenge the free kick to Cody Weightman against Joel Smith. -
AFLW GAMEDAY: Grand Final vs Adelaide
Dee Viney Intervention replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in AFLW Melbourne Demons
Crows too big, too strong too good. Their talent will be diluted by the Power when they come in. Good second half by our girls, disappointing that our mids and forwards didn’t bring that intensity in the first half. -
AFLW GAMEDAY: Grand Final vs Adelaide

Much better. On ballers actually starting to defend as well. Chaos ball is our best chance with forwards playing in front. Would also love to see Mithen and Paxman use the stand rule to full effect if you don’t have the leg for a set shot. -

Off the back of what happened at the Oscars I don’t want to condone violence. But Good Crivens there are some real slappable heads at the Western Bulldogs.

In light of “free Willy” getting off Brisbane should issue the AFL with a WTF not a please explain. The system is broken when it is about the outcome or size of person on the receiving end instead of the actual incident itself.

Rod Grinter on the Front Bar
Dee Viney Intervention replied to Rod Grinter Riot Squad's topic in Melbourne Demons
One of my families all time favourite Melbourne players. My daughter has made St Kilda’s Under 14 AFLW Next Generation Academy and she has been given the number 14. When I told my Mum she cried. -

First Freed from Desire and now a journalist that apparently is a Melbourne supporter. Melbourne F.C are living rent free in their heads and long May it continue. -
Are we capitalising on our on-field successes?
Dee Viney Intervention replied to Mach5's topic in Melbourne Demons
AFLSE is the governing body which looks after junior football in the region. They cover southern Melbourne jfl, Frankston district jfl, Mornington peninsula jfl, and outer south east jfl, Melbourne and St Kilda are the 2 teams that have access to these leagues. If you are a member of any of these competitions then you can choose either a complimentary junior membership to either Melbourne or St Kilda. I coach girls football in a league that is in St Kilda’s region and my daughter is in St Kilda’s Generation Academy but have the option to nominate Melbourne as her club. From the girls side of things St Kilda seem to be going for quantity over quality for their academy teams which maybe a reflection of where their AFLW side is at. All reports I hear is that Melbourne is doing a great job with marketing and development in its region and a premiership will certainly help. -
The Jack Viney Made Me Cry Thread
Dee Viney Intervention replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
Libba because he has really [censored] tattoos that for some reason really bother me. Weightman because he plays for free kicks and has a really punchable head. Other than that let the doggies play. We’ve got them covered. -
I have also heard the same. No party wants it be a distraction from our assault on the premiership. Total trust in the club to make it happen. Not something I would have said years ago.
