		Deeluded Podcast Interview: Kane Cornes

Cracking interview, very insightful. At the very end Kane says I love your story. Excuse the naivety but what's your story?

OPPOSITION WATCH: What They're Saying at Waverley Park

I've been thinking that for a while but now their 4 time premiership coach has been moved on he doesn't have much incentive to tank.

Which MFC player have you met personally?

I came out of The Vacluese hotel now known as The Richmond Social after a long lunch quite a few years ago now and noticed Gawny getting a hair cut on Swan St. I walked in and politely asked the barber to leave his beard. Maxy gave me a thumbs up and was appreciative of the gesture.
 - Big roar for our boys after another great win!

		CHANGES: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn

Another reason we probably don't play Max in the hot spot and bomb it to him is because that's where he misses them from. I love Max but I hate it when he has a kick directly in front close to goal. We may as well just set up our zone when he gets it there.

Which MFC player have you met personally?

I've met Weid, Melksham and Brent Grgic. I washed my hands after meeting each of them. In all seriousness I have met all 3 of the above whipping boys and they were all top blokes. I also went on the Daniher drive a few years a go and met lots of our greats from the Daniher era. On one of the mornings they had a kicking comp.i flukes a kick in thongs into a bin about 30 metres away and ended up in a kick off against Neitz, Brad Green, Yze and Cameron Bruce. I ended up coming 2nd to Neitz. I can live with the fact the greatest goal kicker in Melbourne's history fixed me up. Very surprised to finish ahead of Yze and Green but I thought I would have Cameron Bruce covered. True story.

		CHANGES: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn

Bring in Chalmers and give him a crack. It pains me to say but ANB has to go out for him. Purely because there is no-one else to drop.

		Petty the Unnoticed Crucial Cog

I've been talking up Petty and Jordon for years. Posted under my previous username minus 1 Chandler is next.

Rd 19 vs Gold Coast in Darwin

Write it down as a loss. As another poster succinctly wrote we are a top 8 bully. It's lucky you only play the top 8 in the finals.

		Petty the Unnoticed Crucial Cog

I heard Jason Taylor asked why we took Petty in the draft when we already had a depth of tall midfielders on the list. He said when there is a jet available at a pick you didn't expect you have to take them.

		Gary Moorcroft

The bloke got the shot at the perfect moment. They had him on the footy show to talk about it back when it was watchable. Today's photographers with their technology take pictures like machine guns, they just keep firing but that bloke just mailed it.

Surely the photo of the Sean Smith mark is the greatest. Heightened by the fact in the footage you see the flash go off in the crowd at the perfect moment.

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide

It might be time to play Petty forward again. He's been good there in the past and he is playing much better footy than Weid or BBB. We are screaming for a key forward and he could be the best option. Majak could play Petty's current role.

		POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS

Sorry forgot about Essendrugs game. This whole Covid work from home thing is making me lose track of time. Think the sacked coach against Collingwood is still relevant but at the end of the day we weren't good enough to beat them.

		Face Palm reactions

It doesn't surprise me you are a face palm advocate and also write a long winded response to someone only to say you are putting them on ignore at the end.

		POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs GWS

Our form might not be as bad as it looks. Teams that sack their coach normally win the following week and we copped that against Collingwood and teams coming off a bye seem to lose more often than not which happened against GWS.

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide

Is it time to rest Oliver? In the Gus and Gawny podcast it was mentioned that most Wednesdays they don't know if he will get up for the game and we pick emergencies incase he doesn't play. We've just come off a bye so he had a week off but without knowing exactly what's wrong it's hard to say.

		Hunt was having a crack.

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide

Hibbo and Viney out? I guarantee you they would both be in every other teams starting 18.

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide

Bit harsh on the calls to drop Hunt. When the game was in the balance he was trying to lift us. He got done holding the ball twice. One of them was a joke where he had no prior opportunity and the other he took 2 bounces but had no options because our forward line isn't functioning yet.

Luke ‘dogga’ Jackson rising star favourite

That's a mystery in itself. From what I understand Jordon can run all day. Why is he getting limited TOG?

		It’s coming home ...

Unfortunately, we won't get to do it in the finals.

		On this day in 1973

The umpires hated us back then too. How did Leigh Matthews get a free kick for a great tackle on him? If I was an Essendon supported I'd still be boooing

		It’s coming home ...

Maybe just take pleasure in Collingwood being [censored] for the time being while we are on top. We can't have it all.
