Part 8: Jason Taylor - Visionary or Over-rated - 2020

It looks pretty plain on paper but 2 premiership players in a weak draft is extraordinary. Particularly for a team that has 1 premiership in 50 years -

So many positives tonight. My only negative is i kind of wish Kolt's nickname was Disco
-
6 ) Rivers, Mc Vee & Positive Lingers 3 ) Melksham 2 ) Windsor 1) Disco No Gawn or Petracca and i get the feeling Clarry is just warming up to remind everyone in the finals he is one of the players in the league.

I was going to agree with you then i remembered the Scott brothers, Bomber Thompson and Neald. Not that classy when these people get to the top.

I bet he takes alot more hangers in his next 100.

I think i remember the rational at the time was his vertical leap, length and reach made him a standout where opposition were zoning. The thought being he could sit in a hole, take marks higher than others and was good at converting. It didn't work out but JT doesn't follow the general draft consensus and nor should he. He has the runs on the board. Only recruiting manager to visit the Kolt juxtaposed to when we had pick 1 & 2 but didn't visit Dusty.

If they wear red and blue it's a free kick and the potential for a staging fine

Salem in to play permanently in backline. Rivers to continue on the ball.

Lucky you only saw the last 2 minutes. We copped it all night.

When Kalani looks like choosing us, which he will, the AFL will change the rules. Nothing is more certain.

The midfield numbers behind staggering drop-off

Alot rests on what happens against North. Clarry looked amazingly like being Clarry before he broke his hand. He could turn it around quickly. Petty looked like Carey against Geelong. I don't buy into the checked out narative but he needs to be dropped to regain the confidence. Lever will be back soon and our defence will be boosted with him and May's ribs back to normal at around the same time. I'd role the dice and play Kozzie as a midfielder resting forward pocket. We need to be more dynamic. Have a crack at North this week and see if it clicks but if it doesn't don't make North's mistake of missing Harley Reid. Nose dive.

Time for a Change….Don’t wait another 2 years…

I don't think the situation is as dire as most. Watching Sydney last night their midfield, particularly Warner are dynamic. Kozzie brings that in spades but he needs to be a full time midfielder. Rivers and McPhee to spend extended time there rotating with Salem. Oliver will come good again but he and Viney can't be in the centre at the same time as they are at the moment. Our Trac record of managing players injuries needs a major overhaul. -

The more i think about it the more i wonder if the Petracca Maynard warm handshake was sought out by the AFL. The AFL are culpable in this and that was a massive win for them. It was obvious the entire football world was going to be watching Maynard before the first bounce. Stage managed?

The only one to fire a shot today was James Brayshaw who kept saying Angus was supposed to go down the slide with him but couldn't be there
