  1. Got mine too. Paid 450 bucks and my name wasn’t included. Cheers MFC
  2. Will there be bottles of MFC bath water ?? Plenty to go around
  3. So are we all still buying the story that he had to take a dump when he didn’t join in the team song after the st kilda win? Or is there more to it?
  4. Sorry to quote myself, but found these comments from Craig Jennings fairly accurate and in support of my view NAILED IT ? ? "Melbourne are built for the contest but their game-style is misaligned because they're trying to play a skill game - some teams do that but Melbourne's best weapon is the contest game and their game-style doesn't suit the players they have. I don't blame the players, I think this is a strategy consideration," former Melbourne Assistant, Craig Jennings
  5. A full FD review needs to take place. Not an internal one either. It needs to be an external one. My concern with Goodwin is that he had a strategy that relied on a structure that was no longer possible because of the 6-6-6 rule. If you remember 2018 he had this game plan that relied on half backs coming off in V pattern. It was good. Kingy and others lauded it as revolutionary. Since that all changed, he has nothing. Whatever system he has tried to implement has taken us backwards. The football we are playing is not suited to the players we have. It’s been highlighted by the media. We are constantly under pressure and the lack of good ball users is our undoing so often.
  6. I’m Kick It, he is Pickett, Derek Kicket is long retried and never played for us.
  7. Must be best available selections now. Doesn’t sound like Brayshaw is right. If Harmes is, I’d bring him in. Probably for ANB. Get Viney playing as a tackling forward. He can also take a good overhead mark. Plays tall at times, for his size. Mids Tracc, Clarry Harmes. Preuss has to go. So either TMAC or Brown in. Jackson would be preferable, but sounds like he is another week off. Bedford provided very little. I’d be inclined to go with Lockhart over him. Reckon we might need him to play on Bobby Hill. Keep him quiet. Goodwin has tried to play Hibberd on these smalls and he gets exposed. Beyond that, I think we have to pull one bold selection. For me, that is Bennell. He might be a bust, but we can’t die wondering. Hannan maybe a safer option.
  8. I just had a full swing of mood. The optimism is back, at least until Saturday. We probably win on Saturday and then put in a stinker against the Dons, but there’s still a chance. Thanks Croweaters
  9. This may have been covered elsewhere, but can someone tell me if we have stayed in Cairns the past week, avoiding the travel that supposedly sapped our energy, according to Goody.
  10. With Hibberd back in, is there any chance we see Smith have a stint up forward and Gawn go behind the ball, rather than go up forward?
  11. Could you please tell me the good things he did? He runs around like a headless chook and looks like one of those carnival clowns you put a ping pong ball in the mouth of.
  12. Jack Viney is the most selfish footballer in our side. It pains me to admit it. He makes us worse in the middle. He does nothing to support teammates, but constantly rams into packs, even at times where a teammate is in a position to take the ball. His possessions are all grubby. That’s the only word I can use to describe it. The hack kicks, the missed handballs, the spin back into the traffic to prove his strength in breaking a tackle. I’m sick of it. Pull him out of the middle.
  13. I would rather a Nathan Jones on my list next year, helping with the reserves and instilling culture into younger players, than a Corey Wagner or Dunkley. No offence to either of those blokes. There is talk of a veterans type list outside the other list spots for next year and I’d keep him around. He won’t be best 22, but if there are injuries, he may provide some insurance. That’s the way I’d go about it. If that gets him to 300, so be it.
  14. Anyone else watch the boys walk into the rooms and notice Viney in a seemingly filthy mood. He lead the team into the room, walking alone and ahead of Max, the camera then shows him exiting the rooms before the song and he never returned. He did not join in the song. Very odd behaviour ... concerning.
  15. Jones should put his hand up not to play next week. That’s just so costly. To kick across the goal face with 20 seconds on the clock and loft it like that is pathetic. add to that the effort on the wing when he had ball in space and couldn’t turn to go forward and went 50m backwards, suggests that he is cooked
  16. Just listened to Egan’s review of our practice game. Fritsch liked 6 goals! I know the club is about setting standards, but it wasn’t as If he was out on the [censored]. I feel we need his goal scoring power to win and keep this season alive. Mitch Hannan needs to step up.
  17. Harmes is more of a player than AVB is at the moment. I’d rather him on a wing or in the guts. Silly call from Simon. Wagner will play forward. Max improves us. Jones and AVB in the same side doesn’t please me. Rivers is a ripper and I prefer his ball use and composure over Lockhart’s
  18. That is a joke that Langdon has his fine upheld. Absolutely farcical. It won’t warrant any media coverage. I am growing to hate the AFL more and more each day.
  19. So did it get overturned? Haven’t seen a thing on it
  20. I can’t stomach the fact that Langdon was even fined for his action. He was paid a free kick for holding the ball, the momentum of the Bulldogs player trying to break the tackle and handball drove him forward. I know the club won’t challenge it, because they would rather cop the fine and not risk suspension, but it should be challenged on principle. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that tackle, unless they won’t to admit the field umpire made a mistake in awarding a free kick for holding the ball and have egg all over their face. I am so sick of this rubbish. The Dalhaus one is far far worse and has far greater risk attached to it and it only graded slightly more serious. What a joke
  21. Having read the report from the MFC website, the changes you suggest here are all very likely. It does not sound like Bedford did much today, but has some form, so maybe he replaces Pickett. The reports were highly complimentary of Wagner, so would not be surprised to see him in, although I never think he adds much at senior level and has consistently underperformed.
