  1. Correct we can only control what we can control.
  2. Should Anzac Day be played at night on the public holiday? The answer is no. The would get 20,000 less people to the QB game if it was played on Monday night.
  3. Mate I could give a crap about trying to be team of the decade, how about let's just get to 'team of the year' for the first time in 47 years! Of course it will cut deep, but what can you do about it? We pick ourselves up And move forward like champion clubs do. Geelong aren't looking too shabby minus Jnr are they?
  4. If he does go it will tarnish his reputation not as a player but as a person for the remainder of his playing days. You can use the excuse that the money was too good to pass up all you like but he has always had a choice. If he goes he goes, no point crying over spilt milk, as hard as it will be to take. I'll certainly be excited about the new draft prospects we get in return!
  5. Yep I dig it..
  6. We haven't won yet.
  7. Not if he chose to walk and put a huge price tag on his head they don't.. Then again I can't see him slipping through to the Tiges in the PSD even with an outlandish pricetag on his head. This is all crazy talk anyway..
  8. A counter offer means nothing though if he doesn't want to be there..
  9. Aaron Davey pulls out of another contest and costs us a goal. He's a cat.
  10. Tapscott hammy....great.
  11. I say it in the context that Morton has physical attributes, mainly in the height department that on a level playing field makes Morton a much more valuable player to a side than Cotchin - more versatile, can play all over the ground. He also has a big engine, pity it only seems to puff slowly along the railway tracks most of the time... There's no doubting at this stage that Cotchin is head and shoulders above Morton playing ability wise, hence the reason I said "if" Morton can get his mind and body to where it needs to be, he could be as valuable as an Adam Goodes to Sydney or Brenden Goddard to St Kilda.....VERY wishful thinking I know...
  12. Morton's got the potential to be a better player than Cotchin, whether he uses his "tools", puts on some size and has the determination to do so is yet to be seen however..
  13. I do believe Scott Clayton has gone on record stating that he rated Morton the best of the draft in 2007.
  14. Not sure why he would want to stay anyway to be honest... Why would you with the culture we produce? I love the MFC but it's the most painful relationship I've ever been involved in..
  15. Can't for the life of me see why Tom Scully would want to stay right now. We are officially a basketcase.. Really feel for Jimma and all his hard work...sadly there's a hell of a lot more work ahead, we haven't even scratched the surface..
  16. We will lose the next 4 games and that's the season.
  17. This is not good. I'm fearing the worst.
  18. Almost a season defining second half ahead...dare I say it.
  19. Superfooty does qtr by qtr.
  20. Must go on with it like last week! North won't throw in the towel..
  21. It's aimed at the bogan market.
  22. For christs sake get a grip man. It was a light hearted throw away line to indicate that I'm sure we didn't get a lot of membership enquiries off the back of Thursday nights performance.
  23. It's fair to say the membership department had absolutely nothing to do in relation to memberships last Friday, hence the reply from them..
  24. They played in Perth, I suspect they didn't travel back until today...it's a five hour flight. A response from the club I dare say will come tomorrow. I also suspect after that performance it's damage control central as far as media conferences go...
  25. My original post was in no way critical of anyone Rhino. It was my drawn conclusion (as you've stated) as to what I believed was the reason Watts was made the sub for the gold coast game. You are correct there was nothing factual about it, simply my thoughts on the matter. There was not one ounce of criticism directed at anyone in that post. My "cheap shot" at Watts (in another post) probably was unnecessary, so I apologise, but I stated it as a fear I have for the future and not something I meant as a personal attack on Watts, despite my choice of words. I know he's young and has a lot of development ahead of him, in saying that I wish good things for him going forward and sincerely hope as much as anyone that he becomes a star for the MFC.
