  1. SEN have just reported that Dean Bailey has just helf a press conference re Tom Scully, stay tuned.
  2. As much as i'd hate to see him go, if we were going to lose Tom i'd rather see him go to a club like GWS who will have little to no affect on our Premiership aspirations in the next 5 years, whether they have Scully or not. If he does leave us, it will be a massive set back to the club's progression both on and off the field. All the hard work that has been put into regaining our integrity and building a desireable culture will be undermined, all through the decision of a number 1 draft pick to wanting to leave the club after 2 years. I know it's all heresay at this stage but whichever way you look at it, it would come across that Tom never wanted to be a part of the Melbourne Football Club from day dot and that would hurt the club terribly.
  3. from the interview it seems things are going "really really" well...
  4. Graeme Yeats' mullet alone made it worth watching..
  5. One of the biggest cats in the league...who cares.
  6. So he's fuming, Wellmans decision not the clubs fault...maybe James could egg his house or something.
  7. Couldn't care less about the appointment, the powers that be know what they're doing & would not make an appointment that would be detrimental to the club. Royals proven...why risk a person straight out of playing that may not be a coaches a-hole purely based on on-field reputation? I hardly think Royal could single handedly stifle the development of our young up and coming list. Onward & upward..
  8. Richo has never spent time at the Lions, he went from East Burwood to Coburg, to the Bulldogs, to Collingwood and then to Essendon.
  9. Alan Richardson is a star, I played under him at East Burwood for two years and bled for him in that time. He is fantastic in his ability to nurture young players & get the best out if them through development. He has another 2 years guaranteed from Essendon but by all means if he's out of place there, get my man Richo on our couching panel!!!
  10. Very different circumstances there. I'm referring to last weeks game, where the club will receive probably thousands of letters from upset fans. The club know what all of these letters contain and will not feel the need to read every single one of them, nor respond. Your situation is a much more personal matter that i'm sure the club would like to be seen to be dealing with.
  11. I wouldn't even worry about it, it's just going to go straight on the pile with the other 15,000 letters they would have received this week all of which will not be looked at by anyone at the club.
  12. yes
  13. Is this thread a joke? Dean Bailey is going go announce that the club has decided to make an alternate decision and will take what they consider to be the 6th and 14th best picks in the draft. The club will take who they consider to be the best 2 players available and as far as we know it could be different from what we expect. Why the hell announce it? What good would that do?
  14. I think you'll find that Ball ends up staying at St Kilda. He knows they're on the brink of a possible flag and at 25 years of age I dont believe he'll want to go through the re-building that Melbourne are currently going through. Thats just my opinion of course and I don't know how deep the scar runs between him and Lyon right at this point. BUT for them to be following him over to New York, it shows they want him to stay at the very least. That will go a long way in him making his decision.
  15. The amazing thing about this article is that it has the nerve to suggest that Richmond (midfield or not) may be a more appealing home for Ball.. ...only a halfwit could suggest that Richmond will not finish on the bottom of the ladder by a long way next year.
  16. Geelong have a secret south west stash no one knows about..
  17. And you're privy to what goes on behind closed doors at the club then I take it?
  18. Using an argument like "pick 11 is historically a bad pick" is enough to lose anyone
  19. Bahahaahaahaha April Fools Day. You are a joke mate.
  20. Channel Ten news just reported that Warnock FLAT OUT refuses to go to Melbourne.
  21. 3AW
  22. In an unprecedented move the AFL have assigned their own solicitor to help a deal be done between Warnock and Carlton. Its a disgrace that the AFL are getting involved with club trading negotiations. What right do Carlton have to receive the AFLs help on this one??
  23. I know, I know, I was just having a excitable wet day dream.
  24. I'll almost bet my left [censored] that Watts gets number 9 if we pick him up at number one.
  25. Let him go into the PSD and we'll pick him up again and put him on a 2 year deal on base salary! Shove that up your ass Brad!
