I actually think the fact that Rowell and Anderson Both come from the Chargers and are close mates has pushed this decision over the line. The AFL want players to stay up there and this is their best chance to do so. I truly believe if the top 2 prospects were from different states, the decision would be different. I spoke to someone involved at Oakleigh on the weekend and he believes the Suns may specifically target Chargers players this draft for this very reason.

I would just like to round out the year and thank the AFL for reminding me of the year that has passed. Not only highlighting every round but emphasising Liam Ryan’s mark of the year over Gawn and adding McDonald-Tipungwuti’s goal into the mix for goal of the year.

Heard the news before it was released to the media and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since..truly devastating. Danny was one of the good guys. Has hit home hard for me and I’m not entirely sure why...perhaps because he has three daughters and myself two, but I feel genuinely devastated for his wife and girls. If Petracca seriously wants to play in the middle then the answer is pretty simple. He needs to work with the club to lighten his frame and build his tank. The onus is on him to do so. All good and well to want for things, but you have to put yourself in the best possible position to do so. Id personally love to see him in the guts...the ball’s in your court Christian.
