POSTGAME: Rd 05 vs Richmond
This is a ludicrous statement. The coach has a responsibility to teach his players the required elements to improve their skills in order to execute a game plan. If the players don’t possess those skills, then the game plan will not work. Dont tell me the players are able to execute the required skills at training and simply can’t do it on game day. That’s BS. If they can’t do it under the pressure of a game, then they can’t do it, it’s that simple. There is of course the real possibility we have brought in players with poor skills and that seems to be the case. But this is the clubs fault, overseen by the coach. While I agree Goodwin can’t kick or handball the ball for them, he is responsible for the implementation of a game plan that works and in turn teaching the players the required skills to be successful under the pressure of AFL football. edit - I will add Saty, that I do agree the players do need to take some responsibility here. I don’t COMPLETELY disagree with you.

NON MFC: Round 4
Just heard Silvagni has a fractured rib and bruised lung....seemed extremely innocuous at the time... I retract my statement. Or do I... ?

NON MFC: Round 4
I hope Jack Silvagni’s ok...that looked like a pretty brutal flick to the side of his jumper.

TEAMS: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Unfortunately that comes back to Goodwin’s inability to just be himself and speak logically to the media. “Yeah, he’ll be fully fit, he’ll be ready to go...” being his initial (rubbish) response, followed by the half decent response to the question. All he had to say was that he could play this weekend, but the club are managing his return, despite his eagerness, to ensure his longevity in the game. 5 second simple response. Unfortunately Simon isn’t capable of speaking like an average person in front of the media.

TEAMS: Rd 04 vs Geelong
All I can think about is Balls “omitting” Terry in Round 2 of 1988. The fact Rodney couldn’t play the following week still makes no sense to me either..

What they're saying down at Kardinia Park
Absolute bull [censored]. We won the VFL night premiership in 87.

Proud to Belong, Proud to Give
Fulfilling 4 family memberships on top of my MCC membership given my wife has lost her job, is more than enough as far as I’m concerned. Hope they get a strong response however, from those that can afford it.

Where are we at?
If we had a premiership window, this would be it.

Training @ Casey COVID Hotspot
Trouble is I can see a huge MFC player revolt if training is moved from Casey, being so conveniently located for our players to the proximity of their homes...especially with the abundance of Coles Express service stations.

Ricciuto on Lever
Ricciuto strikes me as the type of bloke that still wears white shoes with a suit to weddings (and funerals).

NON MFC: Round 03
Time will tell. I did edit my original post too. I thought the game was down there..

NON MFC: Round 03
Nothing like playing Geelong on the rebound ??

Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
All we can hope for from here is that everyone is safe and Essendon are removed from the league.

Melbourne vs Essendon Postponed
If we are forced to play them mid week and be disadvantaged before our next game with a short turnaround because of these [censored], it is an absolute disgrace!

CHANGES: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Do you honestly believe Goodwin (or any other AFL coach) would do anything but praise a player in their first game, regardless of performance? ”Nah Lukey was disappointing to be honest, we’ll be breaking down his game and pointing out all his mistakes to him on Monday using the video footage..” C’mon...he was okay. Nothing more. I hold high hopes for him, but he’s not what we need up forward right now.
