6 Viney The remaining 15 votes scattered like rose petals over the rest of the team.
  2. On the train now next to Titus O’Reilly who seems rather chuffed. Had real concerns in the first quarter but it finally clicked. The zone reformed, the tackling pressure returned, our clean up at ground level began to take shape and the link up handballs that have been missing for the past three weeks happened. Jack Viney, take a bow
you willed us back into that game yourself and the team followed. I had major concerns about the lack of contested marks we’d be able to take but it didn’t matter, it took care of itself. The flow returned. My favourite part of the night was not having to even notice May or Petty after quarter time because they just did their job, allowing the true Jake Lever to take flight. The feeling is good. Let’s hope this is the return of what we want and expect from this team. Go Dees and back in your box Brisbane.
  3. Viney most influential player in the ground by far.
  4. We will not lose Angus Brayshaw.
  5. Yes, it’s a very good deal.
  6. 5 years on good money. But likely not what WC and Freo are offering.
  7. Despite the knocks on Weid, if it’s to make a difference from what Mitch Brown offers which is absolutely zero, then I’d say he has a pretty good chance.
  8. Literally just said to a mate while we have lots of problems, most of them (imho) are easily fixed.
  9. I feel like I usually have coming home from a game for the past 15 years or so prior to last year. Drank too much and defeated after witnessing that, knowing I have to work tomorrow. Things are bad
but not dire. Despite form we are 10-3 and second on the ladder by percentage. May is so important to our structure it’s unbelievable. He completely [censored] up off field and it has cost us dearly today. I’m sure he knows it too. Lever is nothing without him and once the ball his the ground he’s like a baby giraffe trying to walk. I never thought id say it but I’ve underestimated Tom Macs importance to our side. I was calling for him earlier in the year to make way for Weid
how wrong I was. He leads up, something none of our other forwards currently do and doesn’t just point aimlessly in any direction hoping to get one out the back. He also breaks packs and clunks marks. Our contested mark stats currently must be a shadow of what they have formally been this year. Mitch Brown should not get another game. He serves no purpose and has no impact. Bring in Weid
it’s the only option we have right now. Also, the amount of players willing to dance around the contest instead of cracking in is unacceptable. ANB, Langdon, Spargo, Kozzie, Fritsch to name a few is unacceptable. Absolutely pedestrian today. If this is how it’s going to be going forward then I’d rather lose games like this with blokes who put their head over the ball and put their bodies on the line. There a blokes in an undefeated twos side who would die for a crack. Its no too late, but the club as a whole needs to have a real hard look at themselves. I’m still backing us in
.for now.
  10. Correct, he serves no purpose, doesn’t crash packs and can’t take a contested mark. I would much rather Weid up forward despite his recent performances.

No team will beat us once we find our groove again.
  12. I heard it moved into the kitchen before spilling out into the street.
  13. It’s simple. Win this week and by the time the bye comes around the media blood trail will have diverted onto their next target. Lose this week and the stench will linger
Let the club sort May out. I take solace in knowing this will only make him even hungrier through embarrassment alone.
  14. Managed to get a small snippet of the CCTV footage.
  15. Melksham got banned for playing the Freo game. While this situation or any of todays events aren’t ideal, part of me doesn’t mind it. It might just be the fuel we need to light to fire again.
  16. Caught up with my mate who’s the Principle of Caulfield Grammar only a couple of weeks ago He still states Laurie will be a 100 plus game player.
  17. I was refused service in the Safeway Niddrie Deli by a chick, Grand Final day 2000 because I had a Melbourne jumper on. All I wanted was some ham.

I’ve had both and pain level was the same. I played the following week (no idea how) with broken thanks to a flattened out shin guard strapped tightly to my body, but it was awfully uncomfortable. No good for a bloke that runs as much as Langdon. Unfortunatly I now have a calcified indented rib section on one side from a deliberate knee. Praying he’s back next week
he is crucial.
  19. Amazing
because you posted on the game day thread consistently, throughout the entire game
.on your phone.
  20. Genuinely thought we’d never lose again.
  21. From what I’ve heard he will sign and there’s a little bit of “I like the speculation” about the hold off

  22. The best news is we are 5 games clear of 9th with 13 games to play. Dare I say it, looks like we’ll play finals this year guys. Fantastic.
  23. Players will be offloaded at years end.
  24. Wrong. He has a five year offer in front of him on very good money.
