And with the Goatwhore boys Ben and Sammy.

Haha I’ve met Janick as well. Met Rod Smallwood the same night. Both nice guys. Here’s ā€œmeā€ with LG…RIP the poor bugger.
  3. Watching that from front row, level 3 of the MCC was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. If only I could have witnessed Chris Scott struggling to get that sip of water down his throat immediately after, first hand as well…

Malignant Aura album on Bitter Loss also very good.

Yeah saw you mentioned Kampfar but could be bothered editing my post sorry. I’ve also got an original mint pressing of LAD on vinyl. First vinyl album I owned. I couldn’t get into the new Gaerea for some reason. New Goatwhore is solid - great first half, but some fillers in the second half of the album. Have met all those guys and ripper blokes. My mates band Battlegrave have an album out called Cavernous Depths if you’re into Death/Thrash. Good fun listen. Miscreance album Convergence is also well worth a listen. Proggy death/thrash with Death Influences.

We have similar tastes @Gorgoroth. Bolt Thrower are my all time favourite DM band and Maiden are my all time favourite band. I’ve seen them 9 times including in New York, been on stage with them for Heaven can wait and am in the Flight 666 doco. As far as some modern black metal goes, check out Panzerfaust, Worm, In Aphelion and Kampfar. My albums of the year thus far are: Wake - Thought Form Descent Strigoi - Viscera Faceless Burial - At the foothills of Deloration

Drudkh rule. Uada now (mildly) suck.
  8. It wasn’t The Bakehouse @Demonstone. Perhaps I was being generous with the ā€œbakeryā€ call…more a cafe. This was just down from the SportsPower. Either way, I walked away after consuming the roll feeling 5 years younger. (Sorry to derail the thread).
  9. Woman who served me had eyes that were set extremely close together, so every chance it was a relation of Tomahawk.
  10. This lure to/back to western Victoria is outrageous. I just got back from a work overnighter down to Portland and let me tell you, the roads are the worst in the state…and don’t get me started on the attitude of the staff at one of the bakeries. In saying that, one of the best chicken and salad bread rolls I’ve had from memory.

This move is destined for disaster for Melbourne according to the highly educated Filth supporter who just called 3AW sports today, stating Grundy will be competing for his position with Jim Stynes. He went on to repeat this a further two times…
  12. That’s crazy. Even for someone who hasn’t had 18 cones today.
  13. Nothing worse than being locked into a rental agreement…
  14. Taj Woewodin and Judd McVee were both drafted after JVR. I don’t think we need to jump at shadows, but it needs to be taken into consideration for sure.
  15. I agree. It’s hard to believe that as the National competition gets older, this is becoming an even bigger factor.
  16. Jason Taylor adamantly said in a recent interview he refuses to let the ā€˜go home factor’ influence his decision to draft an interstate player.
  17. Basically Freo could have worked with Port for a higher pick to suit us, but now Port need it to secure JHF.
  18. I’m not sure about overpaying. The deal put in front of Brayshaw was on the basis of: A. Them being willing to lose him. B. Knowing he didn’t want to leave and the talk of him considering his options, nothing but grandstanding.
  19. Brayshaw was also in consideration however I think the decision to sign him long term comes off the back of the club knowing Jackson was leaving.
  20. As I said during the year I was told the club were going to offload 2-3 of our best 25 this trade period. Hunt and Harmes were two of those players in consideration. I’d personally like to retain Harmes, but these decisions are clearly being made for the greater good.

It’s about freeing up cap space and at the start of the year, he was unfortunately one of the players in the group that were potentially going to be let go.
  22. One of if not Taylor’s most inspired selections to date. Will never forget his debut against the Saints at the G where one of his kicks literally ran along the ground sideways. Since then the bloke has been a pillar of strength. Will finish as a Melbourne champion. My fave currrent player.

We will come back with a vengeance next year. Unfortunately this team succumbed to being completely banged up. One dimensional coaching didn’t help… Gawn hurt his groin in the warm up tonight and it showed. Sums up second half of the season really.

Changes needed yes…but I’ll reassess next year. Blind Freddie could see how banged up and out on our feet this team was tonight. The club will make changes and players will have the chance to come back refreshed. Book the required surgeries immediately.
  25. And yet relentlessly throw the ball every single game.
