Farewell Luke Jackson
Copping it hard and trying to remain positive. Win next week and we are one of four still with the same equal opportunity. That’s all keeping me sane right now. Hopefully a kebab on the way home helps ease the pain somewhat. Props to Clayton and Steven (minus the momentum killer moment).

NON-MFC: Finals 2022 Week 01
Brisbane are not built or coached for finals. If they manage to pinch this, they are simply doing the world a favour in eliminating Richmond.

Friday Night Pre Game Pub in the CBD
The Royal, Punt Road. See you there. Make sure you have a collar though.

NON-MFC: Round 23, 2022
The fact that you even have to ask this just demonstrates that you have a problem.. You should already be half way through the third.

Ben Rutten Sacked
Footage of the Essendon board arriving into the 'Hanger' car park today to decide Rutten's fate.

GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
Doesn’t matter. We don’t lose interstate.
-
The Run Home
Freo will likely beat GWS so if Collingwood beat Carlton, we will drop to 6th.

The Run Home
If other games go as expected… Win - likely Sydney in Sydney Lose - likely Richmond in an elimination. Calm thoughts, calm thoughts…

Veil of Negativity
I said last year that if we won a flag in my lifetime, I could live with us never winning another game. How wrong I was. It purely creates higher expectations and a thirst for wanting more. In saying that, I am remaining positive and as I said after last weeks I am backing us to still win the flag, provided we sort the forward line issues out. This all comes from a life long eternal MFC pessimist. I’m trying to shake the veil of negativity as best I can.

POSTMATCH: Rd 22 vs Carlton
Haven’t hugged random strangers like that since Jack Watts’ goal on QB in 2017.

CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
We need another tall forward. I don’t care about Weids ongoing form, I think we need him.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
You’re assuming we have the ability to land one of the three ruckmen you mentioned, or someone of that ilk. What if we’ve made enquiries and none are willing to come? We can’t just sit on our hands and hope for the best while Jackson makes his mind up. Of course I agree longevity is paramount for the clubs sustained success but the smart thing for the club to do while the window is open, is make the moves they need to, to ensure we bank flags while we can. Early start tomorrow, off to bed. Appreciate the conversation dazzle.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
You get what you pay for. But yes I “realise that”…thanks for checking. The club recognise we are in a 2-3 premiership window. IMHO why take the risk on blokes who have had limited exposure and may simply hold down the main rucking role, for the sake of draft position? I acknowledge there is also an associated risk with Grundy given his injury history however.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
So if/when we lose Jackson we are left with a single ruckman who’s 30 years old. While I agree there needs to be a balance…..Let’s say Gawn goes down for a period of time…where is this breed of new talent to step in and replace him in the Ruck? Good teams have made a habit of bringing in experienced, older Ruckmen.

Patrick Cripps FREE to play
Best possibly result. Want him back for the Pies game.

Demons will win the flag in 2022.
Finish top 4 and I am confident we will win the flag.

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
It was legitimately outrageous and no doubt intimidating for a lot of people. I don’t like being put in those situations, but (without trying to sound like a [censored]) can handle myself. It was remarkable how quickly they backed down and wanted to make friends when confronted. One second quacking like a duck to antagonise to “oh I hope you guys beat Carlton” like little [censored] within a split second. Absolute heroes.

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Aaaah classy bunch of supporters are the pies. Officially overtaken Essendon as my number one. I’ve never been more on edge at a game with constant baiting and antagonism right through to the train ride home. Called a few out and they immediately went to water. A real bunch of pack mentality heroes. I’m completely livid at this point in time. We SHOULD have won that game, but didn’t. I come away from the game however confident that we will win the flag PROVIDED we continue to fix the forward line. I pray Tom Mac comes back in at some point in time he is crucial. The Pies won this game on slingshot football and you don’t win finals playing that style plain and simple. Their ability to drop back and run forward got us in the end, but Im going to put my balls in the line and say I cannot foresee anyone going with us at the G come finals time. Maybe I’m delusional…

GAMEDAY: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
This is impressive with 3 minutes to go.

NON-MFC: Round 18, 2022
Nothing horrific about it if we win tomorrow. The AFL have absolutely gifted them a fixture that’s been kissed on the [censored] by angels.

TEAMS: Rd 17 vs Geelong
I’m anticipating Gawn will play half the game forward.

$13 memberships for 13 hours
I’ve just emailed the club about the auto renewal on these. I’ll let you know when I hear back.
-
$13 memberships for 13 hours
Announcing it late afternoon given it was a 13 hour offer was pretty strange. They would have been better starting it at 9am and running it until 10pm.

$13 memberships for 13 hours
Surprised this isn’t on here yet. In the wake of Clarry’s signing the club are offering $13 memberships for 13 hours in the quest to reach 65,000. I just bought two for friends because at that price why wouldn’t you. Get amongst it. https://membership.melbournefc.com.au/membership/13-for-13-hours?fbclid=IwAR0A3-n4IWux_IxWP_-RZMXhmQERs3PsAZ5VK7QdCFIMVXqd7O3SNbfPWGo
