It may be emotional after today’s result but I fear for this club. This is the front two rows on the third level of the MCC today. These are “usually” highly sort after seats for any game let alone a Kings Birthday game. I sit here most weeks and this is unheard of. I have NEVER sat in a row that has no other people in it. Yes the MCC is a mixed bag supporter wise, but the MFC still has a majority MFC supporter, member base. i fear dark times ares not far away again.

Dark days ahead. At least in the Neeld years I had no expectations.

I’ve been as flat as a [censored] carters hat all week and resigned to a loss, but for whatever reason, a reason I can’t explain, I think we get the job done tomorrow. I think it will be ugly and it may well be the heart overruling the head, but I believe there will be redemption for last week’s performance and the stalwarts (Gawn, Viney, May etc.) won’t let this one slip. It’s the Melbourne way of course….lose us, then suck us all back in and I think that’s what’s going to eventuate tomorrow. See you at the G, I’ll be doing my bit for the boys.

Probably already been said, but can’t be bothered reading through after today sorry: Petty back (if not dropped) and McDonald forward thanks. I’m open to wholesale changes but given our limited reserve stocks, McAdam out for Moniz-Wakefield please at a minimum.

We aren’t keeping him. He will be traded at years end while he’s still under contract.

We don’t win the centre enough. Unsurprisingly when we do we kick quick goals. Our midfield as good as it is (supposed to be), continues to be beaten at clearance when it matters. A lack of depth doesn’t help. Fix this and we are serious contenders.

Who is running the midfield structures? How can things not have been changed during the game.

My daughter just got a call from Trent Rivers. Was so star struck she forgot what number he was when he asked and couldn’t remember what games she’d been to this year. Lovely bloke on the phone and one very happy young girl.

Both my daughters are equally as positive as this fine young child when it comes to the MFC. Then again, they are both well aware they will be living on the streets, should either of them choose to stray from the club that was chosen for them.

The “lightness” of it can be argued until we are blue in the face (and I’m pro lightness)…but when will this kid learn you can’t pull this [censored] anymore? Seems to be a reoccurring theme in his game…the tough guy act in the AFL is finished - despite exceptions clearly applying. I love aggression more than anyone, but these silly actions have to stop. He’s too important to us up forward.
