2 things (under 12 sort of stuff); - make it look like you’re trying to get rid of the ball in a tackle, even if you’re not - when you take a mark or free kick, get back far enough so you can kick the ball easily over the man on the mark’s head.

Not sure ‘best squad in past 50 years’ is a particularly high bar to set but it feels like a very premature comment. We came 17th last year. 2 weeks ago we looked like one of the worst sides in the comp. I’ll happily take the ‘94 and ‘00 squads at this point in time.

Coming up against Norf off a 4 day break (they will be coming off their ‘bye’) + 3 states in about 7 days. Not ideal. We need that 4 points - a lot of annoying headwinds make it less bankable now. Ah well. edit. Got this wrong. Thought Norf has the bye when we play Adelaide but they don’t.

Thanks for the heads up. Talked about Trac and how he has worked on mindset which has kept him focused in parts of games he has historically become distracted. Made some mention of him even working on (or at least attempting to) his behaviour off the field in this regard. Talked a bit about him and Jacko but not a great deal to report on that front. Talked about an ‘unselfish’ midfield and what I took from it was they like the balance of Trac/Clarry/Viney/Brayshaw at the moment. Made special mention of Brayshaw and how he thinks he has been one of Melbourne’s best and he is confused why people are saying he is out of form. I’m sure that will upset a few on here.
