An interesting read. Genuinely can’t figure out what they’re all ‘not on the same page’ about though… you hear ‘communication’ thrown around a lot but I’m pretty sure this whole saga hasn’t been caused by a few crossed wires here and there… feels like Trac is looking for something significantly more tangible to occur (like a key figure gone, or a player behavioural committment that is uncomfortable for many of the playing group

Let me know if you find somewhere that will take the bet. Early Norm markets typically pop up mid-season and I think they mightn’t let you multi Norm-into-premier in a future as they are related bets. Like the bet though so let me know if I’m wrong!

This was last night but from the sounds there was a sense he was now in for the fight

Recent occurrences have nudged us further down the re-build path than the club would like. I was anti-rebuild - thought we could top up with some smart recruiting (eg Dan Houston) but Trac’s silent outbursts have made that infinitely more difficult now so I’m more open to the cultural and attitudinal cleansing that a re-build could bring.

Paywall so can’t read the article but what is the context behind him saying ‘odds of playing next year are better than they were a week ago?’… I was under the impression the exact opposite was the case?

‘I haven’t spoken to Trac or his family’… well, we have our scapegoat now (if that is what we want).

Being a player agent would be such a tricky job / they need to fight hard on behalf of their client but there is only 18 clubs they can deal with so they have to be really careful not to burn bridges and if there is truth that Trac is being overly influenced/advised by others who aren’t his agents, you could see they might want to end the relationship to protect their own brand. Sorry for saying ‘brand’ so soon….

It makes me angry too - largely because I think the word ‘culture’ is misused and overused - BUT we have had a lot of unsavoury personnel-related issues over the past three years, more than most if not all clubs… difficult to argue that.
