I said it last year before we did the deal. Hindsight wasn't needed. The evidence was there.
-
Possible yeh, also remember it's more likely to be in the 30s after bids ect
-
Don't mind it, we also need 1 or 2 players of his ilk that might not quite be in the team but if we have an injury can fill the hole. We can't just get kids and superstars like most people think.

Someone at another club would be good. He is lazy and doesn't put in the effort. I was on this when we were first linked to him, has been the word out of the crows for a while. Can't believe we gave up anything for him let alone a second rounder, 53 games(no major injuries either, mainly soft tissue) in 5 years with his talent, says it all. Here's to hoping something clicks, but I'm not holding my breath!

I actually meant Farris-White. So add smith on as well
-
Hunter, Brayshaw, BBB, Schache, Turner, ANB and I dare say Tomlinson all gone. We are going to need to cover 7 spots, which is alot. 3 Draft kids, 2 Trade (Derksen, and hopefully Peatling), 1 rookie maybe 2, but possibly leaving 1 spot for a SSP
-
Ahh you are correct he went to the legs after his time at the dees
-
That's what trading is for
-
Alex Georgiou and Michael Evans also came from the Basset system haha
-
Was always worried about McBean before the game, he proved to be the difference!

Oh it's a win win for Port. Get the $$ off the books and have a Ruck doing as good if not better and a young ok looking ruck

For those that don't know much about Bassett before he started coaching at AFL level. After a very solid AFL career as a full back/Back Pocket he took over the head coaching position at Norwood in the SANFL. Norwood had been on the bottom of the ladder for the previous 5-6 years and he took them to a threepeat, not to mention after each year he lost min 4 of his best players to the AFL. (Imagine losing Viney, Langdon, Kossie and Jackson after 2021) Not only did he turn the Norwood football club around, he turned a bunch of guys into AFL standard footballers. A lot of them were mature ago too not just kids with talent.

I hope Saints do it, they will become more irrelevant taking a top 5 ruck out of his best position. Conway I think is 2 pre seasons away, he will be good but doesn't have the tank. SDK is laughable as a ruck. He shoukd be sticking it out at Port and making the position his. It's pretty [censored] weak. No probs going to Adel when the contract was offered to him. Cry baby vibes to me.
-
Sorry I read that Geel were interested, Saints is a silly move for him
-
He is going to a club who hasn't had a number 1 ruck in 10 years. It's a perfect landing spot for him. Also had a crack at Rich after leaving there, now only had one year at Port and sooked it up again. Reeks of the wrong attitude
-
Soldo is leaving his second team because he can't get the #1 ruck spot. He ain't coming to play second fiddle to Max
-
Love this option, this kid showed a lot last year. This year ruined by injuries. I'd prioritise getting him over that GWS kid. Both would be great of course.
-
Ollie Lord at Port the latest to been possibly looking for a move. We should go hard at this kid, really like what he has done in his games at Port. [censored] year with injuries this year, but a good young key fwd
-
100% what we need. 1 year contract getting paid bare minimum. If he has to come in for Max he is capable at AFL level. Not many options going around in this department that can compete at AFL level.
-
Kennedy is a great get. He can play the defensive mid role that Brayshaw played and is a very handy Fwd/Mid, which would be a good rotation for Trac
-
I think people get a bit hung up on a tall being over 195cm, the AFL has shown that if you have 2 talls that can't apply adequate pressure you will get rebounded on very easily. This is why you can just go and get any tall fwd as JVR and Fritta aren't pressure players either. Tough balancing act and i don't envy who has to make calls, bringing in another key fwd could see us lose a Turner/Petty/Jefferson
-
That would be why i said Brayshaw type
-
I like the idea of Kennedy from Carlton, only 27. Can play anywhere on the ground and is obviously a fringe player for the Blues. (which he shouldn't be) Think he could be a Brayshaw type player for us
