PREGAME: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
he is a good user by foot and get into space well, our old game style was very stop start and down the line. Guys like Bill when they "get and go" are better with ball in hand and make the link up play better. Whilst Sparrow has been ok this year i think this is a part of the game he lacks and gets caught holding the ball up a bit in.

Laurie will suit the new game style we are playing. Think he will be a lot better than he has been in the past. I'd like to see him get a go, and notbas sub.

PREGAME: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
IN: Petty, Laurie Out: Fritsch, Jefferson Think we need to just go 2 tall fwds, and forget the medium fwd. id give Laurie a go, or Henderson. Other option is Culley to play the Viney role, Oliver isn't a run with player, he is see ball get ball.

PODCAST: Rd 08 vs West Coast
Gents What are your thoughts on our forward make up? I have never believed Fritsch and Melksham work in the same fwd line and i still believe this to be the case. Whilst neither really deserve to be dropped i think based on earlier form Fritsch should make way, we also need 2 talls i believe, just playing 1 make it a little to obvious where we are going. Very happy with the kids, Windsor has it and will only get better, Langford is going to be one of those players that you don't really notice in game then look up his stats and he has had 30, Lindsay had a quiet game but has class and poise and Kolt is almost there, just some skill errors at the wrong times but he is in the right areas at important times, think he is going to be a Gem! Big week this week, i don't expect to win but i want a good effort where we can see the game plan work against a top team.

Out: Petty, Fritsch, Sparrow In: JVR, Johnson, Oliver Our forwards line has never worked with both Fritsch and Melk in it, think one has to come out.

My 3 word player analysis V WC
Bit rough on Thulstrup , 14 possies, 4 tackles and 5 score involvements is pretty good for a small fwd. 0.3 hurts but still 3 shots on goal!

will the commentators talk about him getting weeks, that is bloody pathetic and dangerous!

PODCAST: Rd 07 vs Richmond
Hey Guys Good win and some promising signs, people should not look into the last 10 min of the game. we shouldn't have, but did put the Que in the rack and i don't think we will get to many opportunities to do that. I do have one real worry, and that's out midfield make up, we are trying things and that is needed, but.... it isn't until we go back to Petracca, Oliver and Viney that we get control back in there. I have faith that Langford will get to the level but i'm not sure who else. Rivers will be a solid mid in time but he will be just a good solid player, and still needs to work on his short passes. I do think Lindsey and Windsor will become full time mids, but have a couple of years on the back flank first. Also May seams to be in the wars atm, i know it was just an ankle and he wont want a rest but i would like to see turner get another run in the side, i think he and Petty are our future Full Back and Centre Half Back. No petty is not a fwd, but fills a need for now.

Spot on, With Howes, Turner, Laurie, out or next in. can see why goodie is changing the game style.

PREGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond
Good changes, Fritsch and Melk have never worked inside the same fwd line. But fritta still has to perform or he is out again. I do like our fwd line with just 2 talls, especially if we can play like we did v the dockers!

PODCAST: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
I said this a few weeks ago on one of the Demonland topics, with the new game plan relying on speed and skill more i think selection changes of Kolt, Spargo, Howes are not to be over looked. in the future i see Bill Laurie and of course McVee to also come in, which mean less disposals but better skill which will require less disposals. We are going to get score against easier with this game plan but it is the way fwd, i am a little worried about how often a defender leaves his man to help leaving an easy over the top handball to an open player forward of the ball, often in the middle of the ground which allows that player all options when delivering inside 50. But we are going to have these teething issues for a bit. On a side note, how good was it to here Tom Morris's bit on footy classified about Petracca after the game, 1 - to here how invested he sounds to be, 2 - to actually have some positive media about the Dees and Trac! Happy Easter gents

Well I have finally got there, Goodwin's game plan and direction isn't getting through. He has to go

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
yup, my thoughts exactly. same as Spargo. if 80% of our team use the ball better then accumulation wont be an issue

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
I think with this new games style we are playing. I'd like to see Windsor, Kozzie, McVee, Lindsay, Spargo and Laurie in the team. These guys will handle the ball better than some of our players with the quicker style play, with Bowie, Chin and to a lesser extent Salem. The game plan could work. But there is big change, and tough calls on guys like T-Mac, Sparrow, Fritsch, Howes, Viney and Rivers(role not spot)

PODCAST: Rd 03 vs Gold Coast
The AFL is now going to defense, and to use a basketball term "creating a stop", Then sling shot off turnover with speed, real speed. Unfortunately we don't have the personnel for this yet. Kossie, Windsor and Lindsey will help with that. But this year is clearly about moving to a new game plan, and it unfortunately is going to leave Viney, behind and it will take away from Trac and Oliver's 1 wood. They are Good enough to adapt and work in with the new game plan, i hope Viney can too. The big question is, with a rebuild on the run and a change of game plan this will take a bit of time, do you guys see Goody surviving? i have always been a defender of him but history says coaches don't survive this period.

PODCAST: Rd 02 vs North Melbourne
What are your thoughts on Goody bringing up the Gawn "issue" i thought that was a mistake. And after a year of being in the media spotlight, this dragged us straight back in. I assume he asked Max and hope all is OK. But thought that should be out of the media. Was a strange thing to say. Poor performance, but I won't jump at shadows just yet, Collingwood were wooden spooners after round 0.
