It is now that Adelaide have now taken their back up ruck as an SSP as well. It's a huge hole for them, they lose a captain, 3 time B&F, magarey medallist and Jack Oatey medallist. And is a Ruckman, this is why the 2nd their clubs need some sort of reprieve. Or just a discussion and if the club is happy to let their player chase their dream then all sweet. Which i woukd think will usually be the case.

This is exactly the reason lower levels are struggling. Because the AFL doesn't give a [censored]. Can guarantee Norwood will now struggle this year after losing Boyd, and he was taken a month ago.

It's for the lower levels, so they have some time to replace the players they lose
  4. From the chat I had with the trainers, they are taking load management much more seriously this year. They talked particularly about Max and Campbell. Fingers crossed they follow through!
  5. Turner was there, trained freely
  6. I had a giggle at Clarry introducing himself to Henderson "hi mate I'm Clayton, nice to meet you" as if he didn't already know. Was nice to see the guys get around him too. Can be daunting first training with a bunch of blokes you don't know
  7. The ones i listed at the start are not playing tomorrow, the trainers said so. And they did bulk running at the end of training. Not ideal for a game at 10 tomorrow morning. This was: Trac, May, Langdon, Gawn, Salem, Spargo, Viney.
  8. Yeh he trained properly for a good half hour but came off and put sandshoes on. Looked uncomfortable but just needs to heal
  9. Windsor just left the track, not looking comfortable. Not a new injury, but obviously still recovering
  10. Melk, Kolt and AMW in rehab
  11. Windsor in footy boots!!
  12. Rest of the team rocking up now for captains run
  13. On the park: Trac Spargo Gawn Viney Langdon May Fritsch Salem Henderson Rehab: McVee (updated to include Melk, Kolt, AMW and Kentfield) Spoke to "Gus" the trainer, he said these are the guys not playing tomorrow. Will be playing a lot of the kids. Henderson training to get to know the guys. General drills with running incorporated into it for fitness, nothing really to report. McVee doing plenty or run throughs at gentle pace, but impressed considering its an eight week hammy.
  14. Sweet, I fly in this morn. So will pop by on the route out to lilydale. And good food nearby?
  15. From what saw at Wednesday's training, Melksham will be fit and ready by round 1. I'd expect him to be back in full training next week
  16. Was a bust when we got him. Nothing has changed. Baffling recruiting especially with what we gave up
  17. Bowey May Salem Windsor Petty Lever Would be my guess with Hore or Howes as the bench back up in the rotation.
  18. Recon most that follow footy know how midfield rotations work
  19. The midfield will be those 4 with others floating in. But they will be 5min bursts. These 4 will be in there majority of the time.
  20. Whilst this was match sim like, it wasn't full match sim. Clearly focusing on some defensive structures and ball movement. As they stopped the drill once the ball was locked in a pocket and second half there was no ball ups. This made the forwards’ performance a little hard to read. Rehabilitation - Melksham & Kolt who went straight back into the rooms after some stretching and photo. Spargo and Trac joined rehabilitation after drills. Was Melksham’s injury a hammy? If so he is pretty much over it, did a power of running, wrestling and sideways drills. Oliver - clearance king, nothing too much from him, but he just got clearance after clearance. Langford - holds his own in the midfield, will get a run, but also don't expect too much from him yet. We have a midfield of Oliver, Trac, Viney and Rivers. Kozzie - electric, everywhere. As previous reports from trainings. Petty - solid, few skill errors, pushing forward from defence when an opportunity arises. Jefferson - good contests and covering the ground well. Good signs. Rivers - looking good through the midfield, will be part of the midfield 4. Langdon - absolutely everywhere as a midfielder. BOG. Billings - barely sighted for me. Sharp - good on the wing, covering ground and getting into defence. Chandler - back on the park, moving well early, very good in match sim. Also showing real leadership with his voice. Spargo - into early drills, looked gassed at times. Think he is a bit off senior footy still. Fritsch - playing high half forward, has a lovely left foot and knows how to get out the back. I like this role for him. I believe this also allows Petty to roll forward and create a mismatch in game play. McVee - Was smooth and classy till he went down with what looked like a hammy, walked off with assistance from trainers, but once he reached the boundary he looked to grab around the ankle area and then walked by himself. Await club report, hopefully just an ankle.
  21. Have been very surprised but tge early song selection, half the team's parents wouldn't have even met when these tunes came out!! Right in my wheel house though!!
  22. I have notes section up on my phone ready
