  1. Yup i agree with you too, i think it will be Sparrow, Chandler(if he takes Harmes role) and Viney that take up the rotation. the the likes of ANB and Kossie that get a little bit. Ideally though you want the big dogs in there when the whips are cracking.
  2. so do, Dunstan, Tomlenson, Lever, May, Grundy, Hibberd, Melksham, Langdon and Ben Brown
  3. he pretty much plays a midfield role now, but an outside mid. He just need to make a few better decisions, like stop taking on tacklers when your 80kg ringing wet. but not going to ever be an inside mid
  4. He didn't lock down on him, just manned up on him. Harmes has also had games where his tag opponent has dominated too
  5. Entirely different situation, McDonald was cut no chance for a contract. Harmes has a contract and will see it out if he wants to stay at the Dees.
  6. yup this i can deal with. i also rate Lienert, he would be behind Turner but a good cheap depth player
  7. Harmes and Weid for Merritt I'm hearing 😉
  8. I do think Brayshaw can play the lock down mid role if we need it in a game.
  9. i highly doubt that, id say the reason they are allowing him to look elsewhere would only be in a club takes his salary. 600k a year id be chucking at better players than him. Or lure a Finn Callaghan type No idea what Harmes is on, he resigned in 2019 so it wouldn't be massive, probs that $450-500 area
  10. its the more $600k a year with 2 years still to run that i don't think we can afford on a player like him
  11. Chandler will be first in line for that spot. also but i see Sparrow getting more minutes in that role now
  12. its the exact opposite, he wants midfield time. Richmond came out and said they don't want to lose him when port were looking. As soon as port told him they were after JHF he pulled out.
  13. yes he would, but why would he leave Rich for the exact same role
  14. Hunter has a rather big kick actually, and a left footer too. not someone id chase real hard but i wouldn't be against him pulling on a Red and Blue top
  15. This is one i don't want to see go through. he is a very important cog in our rotations, and i love him. That being said, if the reason he is looking around is because the club is in talks with a Tarryn Thomas/Duursma/Finn Callaghan type of player than i'll be sad to see him go but happy with an inclusion like one of those payers.

Yeh at what we can pay him, which wouldn't be alot. GWS can pay slightly more and is more opportunity for him there. The reason they are interested is because of his value

Yeh mate, never said it wasn't. It's an early 3rd which is why I said we would be lucky if they offered it too us

I is out of contract and played 3 actual AFL games, and didn't nudge the side for the 2nd half of the year. Pick 70, hasn't cemented his spot. Sorry he isn't worth much. Might be Targeted but they aren't going to pay overs for him. He is targeted because he is a cheap option.

So this means throw them away? He is a late 3rd at best wich is 58, if we are lucky they offer us 43

No, Bedford isn't worth the same as Hill. And GWS will say that too, they might give us that pick but we will have to give them another later pick too

i think you are looking at it the wrong way, all the players mentioned are fringe players. The deal offered to Smith would be a lot less than what Hunt would be getting offered. The club is probably thinking that neither will be in our best 22 next year, and backing Salem, and Bowie to pick up that spot. As well as some other kids to progress more. So if you have 2 players(Hunt and Smith) where one is not a stand out better player than the other, and they are both going to be just a back up, well why wouldn't you sign the cheaper one and allow the Hunt to seek opportunities elsewhere.

Yeh, what ever we get for him we will probably move on or even pass on that pick.
