Best Value Way to Watch the Footy...?
Kayo are owned by Foxtel, they don't need to worry about that stuff. Already make a squillion.

TRAINING: Wednesday 18th January 2023
I dare say so, and possibly on a restricted running program. He was an endurance beast at Coll so I'd say its all precautionary.

TRAINING: Friday 13th January 2023
Exactly, recon all players in the AFL would have a "History" of coming back not quite in shape over their careers.

TRAINING: Friday 13th January 2023
Also photos of Gus from the past 2 trainings. Mountain out of a mole hill. Never been gifted with the rig, and is pretty open about that on podcasts and that stupid interview he did in his towel one game. Will be in the 4 man midfield rotation and have his best year since 2018

Best 22 for Round 1
JVR is good on the ground for a big man, not good on the ground for a small. Brisbane tried the 3 key fwds last yr and it didn't work until one went down. They are not going to play Gawn or Grundy on the Pine, that's very obvious. So we can't play 4 talls in the fwd line and Fritsch

Best 22 for Round 1
Agree we need fresh legs but no way you can take BB, T-Mac, Gawn, Grundy and JVR into a game. So unfortunately one misses out, at this stage I think it's JVR but he will get his chance this year, but he is a 19yo playing the toughest position on the field. Brayshaw is a midfielder, didn’t play wing at all last year. He will be part of the 4 man rotation as he was in the back half of last year. I believe Harmse's position is real touch and go and can see Chandler taking it. And I hope he demands to take it and the competition for spots is tough. Jordon is the perfect sub, he can play Back, Forward and midfield. I dont think we should use a KP in the sub role as we have enough flexibility on field if we lost a KP in game (Gawn/Grundy/Petty to go fwd if we lose a Kbig forward, T-Mac to go back if we lose a back and obviously we have 2 rucks if we lose a ruck)

Mitch Georgiades
Can't imagine we would be able to afford him. But really rate him,has all the attributes to be a very good player. If we could somehow get him(trading kossie not an option) that would be great!
-
Are we the slowest side?
Petracca and Oliver are two of the best burst players from stoppages and are rarely caught once ahead of someone. Leg speed is over rated and rarely the actual game breaker, ball speed was our issue last year. Unfortunately with Salem and Tmac injured for majority of the year it took away alot of our ability to move quickly. Salem back, and possibly Bowie, plus fwd options means we can move the ball faster, with more precision and also get ANB, Spargo and Kossie more involved who are our speedier players.

Best 44 for Melbourne
Mistakenly put Rivers on field and on the bench, have Viney on the bench as first midfield rotation

Best 44 for Melbourne
Only changes i would make in Bold, hope JVR forces his way in also which maybe for McDonald depending on his pre-season. Brashaw is a midfielder now, as much as everyone thinks he is a def. He finished last year in the Mids and will pick up there i believe, which will be fine as i expect Salem to return to his best. Rivers i expect to overtake Hibbard as the lock down def. I am very optimistic about this side with Salem, Rivers, McDonald, Brown and Lever hopefully sorting out the injuries that plagued them last yr. which will give our side more stability and Brown some support up forward with another couple of talls. I'm sure there will be a couple that also force their way into the team from the VFL and hopefully that is the case, make everyone fight hard for positions.

We cannot draft again from WA
Dawson, JHF and Rankine all gone back to SA in the past 2 years. I'd say it's no different to WA just that we were unlucky and notice the WA one more. There are more Vic's that move home but also more Vic's in the comp too. It's a nothing subject really, and player movement is only going to become more and more!

We cannot draft again from WA
We Have from interstate: May (NT) Moniz-Wakefield (NT) Spargo (NSW) Turner (NSW) Van Rooyen (WA) Rivers (WA) Woewodin (WA) McVee (WA) Dunstan (SA) Neal-Bullen (SA) Sparrow (SA) Petty (SA) Kossie (SA) Chandler (SA) B. Brown (Tas) and Now Grundy (SA) and Adams (WA) And this year we lost Jackson(WA), Bedford (Vic) and Hunt (Vic) The go home factor is a beat up that happens less often than people think, and also often a $$$ factor hidden behind the go home factor to sell it easier to the media and clubs, as well as soften the backlash. If the WA players are the best available, get them!

2023 Injury List
Exactly!! It's just a delay to pre-season, Brown will be fine and now with support (T-Mac and JVR) he will have more space to play his leading game. The back end of this year isn't fair to mark Brown on, he clearly needed a rest and tall support in the fwd line but we refused to play Weid. he has the work load of 2 fwds generally playing on at least 2 def

Welcome to Demonland Pick 13
Yes, but what i am saying is "LOT" of underage footy has isn't there. its the final year of underage footy, not the two years prior which are very much the years that recruiters look at.

Welcome to Demonland Pick 13
If we don't trade this pick, i think we just get the best possible player at 13, which might be Jefferson. the only reason people are saying this years draft is shallow is because they have only seen these kids play this year, this is the crop of kids that have been mostly affected by covid and barely played over the past 3 years. Doesn't mean there isn't talent there, in fact there could be a lot of hidden talent, which is where the best talent scouts come into play. keep and eye on the kids that get picked around the 25-40 mark. could be some real diamonds in the rough.

Welcome to Demonland Pick 13
It's King Panos now after kicking the winning goal in the SANFL GF for the mighty Red Legs! (also got best on ground in our previous flag)

Five man interchange
Maybe, but also i bet the rotations don't change, so Key position players that can rotate on field for a rest rather than the bench could be just as beneficial.

Extra "MAGIC" Round in 2023?
I'm guessing there will be a Thurs night game this weekend. Which means they will probable only need 3 ovals: Adelaide Oval (Thurs, Fri, 2 x Sat 2 x Sun) Norwood Oval (Sat, Sun) and on game at Nuriootpa which is less than a hour fro the City. Being the position we are in ladder wise(2022), I would say we get one of the more popular time slots against a contender, meaning we are more likely to get an Adelaide Oval game. even though Norwood Oval is a very nice oval and brand new grand stand. If you are thinking of going for the weekend book your flights now as they are pretty cheap and airlines are real scum these days, so as we get closer they will jump! (I fly from Adel to Melb every week, any event or holidays they take advantage of the general public!)

Michael Hibberd & Jake Melksham - 1 Year Extensions
Good for depth, but let's hope our list progresses past these two and they are "break glass in case of emergency" only

Your club's best 22
Agree, unless they are splitting the ruck 50/50 and not playing them fwd. Which is doubtful
