  1. Rookie draft maybe
  2. Gresham is a hack, we should avoid big time! If Grundy goes to Port they have a Collingwood (ironically) 2nd round pick which would be good or I would be interested in Georgiades if they take on Grundy's full contract!!
  3. Whilst I see this, do you think Grundy would go for that pitch again?
  4. Hi gents. Love the POD great work. I have long been a Petty forward hater, and thought hid talents as a backman were too good. Think I might be wrong! What do you guys think about the balance if the side? I think this is it, with Jordon and Woey keeping thier spot unless someone bangs down the door. Unfortunately I think that's it for Harmes, he doesn't complement our midfield correctly and Clarry will take that spot anyway. Huge win, top 4 sealed can we get top 2?
  5. Yup, I think this is a good call. He has also kicked goals this year. With Clarry coming back maybe not. But gotta be better than Harmes
  6. Pathetic! Not getting close to a tackle. They are doing as they please
  7. We now have a genuine chance at 2nd spot. Port have a touch game against Geel, and Lions have one against Coll. It's completely in our hands, which scares me. Every win is important now!
  8. Reid is a no brainier for me, the scouts on this kid are amazing. he will be perfect to take over the #1 midfield role when Petracca and Viney move into their twilight. it sets up the midfield for another 10-15 years, in saying that i wouldn't be giving up too much. But we have 2 young key fwds developing, plenty of midfield youth, plenty of half back flankers and small fwds. Only real issue for the future is key def, but they are never early in drafts anyway. Duursma is a great back up if WC want to much, but id be going at Reid if i could, we don't desperately need next years first round pick. not to mention id say we will have picks coming in for Tomlinson, Harmes and Possibly JJ if a trade gets done. all be it these would all be 3rd rounders and later
  9. Good win and with May having an absolute stinker. Crows are a very good side so this was a good win, with Oliver, Fritta and Petty all sitting on the sidelines too. What are the panels thoughts on Ben Brown? Personally i think he provides structure and a lead up option up the ground, i know he didn't have the best game but he gives us a good link up option up the ground, not so much deep. there were a few times he provided a contest on the wings that our crumbers got to and we moved forward from there. And then we swung the change with the sub at the perfect time, which is the perfect role for brown. All in all a good win and very important one.
  10. that was very lazy letting walker do that
  11. Is it to early to Sub May off, he has been worst on ground so far. tongue in cheek of course
  12. Skills are pathetic atm
  13. i agree he is a great size and looks good. I'm not sure we have enough for pick 1. would 4 and 15 get it done? last couple of years there has been some big offers for the #1 pick. 3 first rounders for Horne-Francis. If we can, go for it. But very handy back up plan too.
  14. I think Tmac will be done at the end of this year. Tommo will leave i think, otherwise he will be 31 coming on 32 at the end of his contract. BBB if managed correctly could go another couple of years. which we will need someone like him to stick around and help develop the young Key fwds.
  15. Few good signs in this game. Jefferson will be a good fwd, another couple of pre-seasons to get some bulk but more so i think he will become an elite running CHF, will team up well with JVR when it eventuates. Will take time though. AMW is only 19 and developing very well, if he can continue playing games like that he will be in the AFL side very quickly. Grundy had 4 shots on goal, thats a good return. and most importantly he structured them up well. Good start to his mini training block. Spargo played exactly how we have needed him in the seniors this season, few more weeks like that and he will get his spot back. Harmes/Dunstan just did what they do, great back ups if we need them. i would be surprised if either are at the club next year. but good depth atm. Same goes for Schacke, but he willl be at the club next yr. Zane Duursma showed enough without being outstanding, id be more than happy for us to use pick 4 on him if we keep it. Only his second game at the level, looks a good size and has good skills.
  16. He doesn't play those positions, he hasn't trained for it and doesn't know the system properly. Yes he is a brilliant by foot but thats no good if he isn't putting on pressure and in the right spots. Brayshaw is a midfielder and i think thats where he wil be even at full strength, its exactly what we did last year this time. Why would he be omitted? Rivers is playing more up the ground in the Wing rotation Brayshaw is in the middle.
  17. agree 100% he is very damaging up higher, but as a def. as is Salem.
  18. he has been training and playing as a def all year, it's not a smart move to put someone into a new system and expect them to learn it in 5 weeks. Very good way to confuse a player and stunt development too. Bowie is a great backman and should stay there. the players that would move for Hibbo would be Brayshaw and Rivers who have both had midfield roles this year so have been training in that area.
  19. Not sure why people are hung up on this. Bowie is not going forward. we would have seen it already.
  20. Good changes this week. Spargo whilst has skill, has not had the acceptable output this year. Petracca whilst playing forward is playing up the ground so Spargo isn't needed for that role. Chandler is a great replacement, hopefully can recapture the early season form
  21. Considering he played on 52% game time I doubt it. And at the game it was definitely the lever match up. Petty was taking Gunston. Lever isn't a player you want kicking, he shoukd handball every time. Especially when you have May, Salem, Bowie around you
  22. 6 - Gawn 5 - Petracca 4 - Viney 3 - Brayshaw 2 - Kossie 1 Hunter
  23. He is a Defender. Played on Hipwood who had 9 Disposals, and 1 goal from 6 marks. Meaning he kept him out of dangerous areas. Not there for attacking drive, there for intercepts and to beat his man wich he had 5 intercept possies and went at 80% efficiency. So as I said, pretty good game!
  24. Great win, stick with the BBB and JVR fwd line. Lever is putting a very good block of footy together. Think I would prefer Chandler over Spargo
  25. Hi Gents What are your thoughts on our fwd line talls. Personally i think we need to play BBB and JVR, happy for JVR to get the couple of weeks rest he needs but i think he is our best fit for the end of the season. I also believe the 1 tall is contributing to our crumbing smalls struggles, very easy for the opposition to know where the ball is going to fall, and all our small and med size forwards head to that spot dragging their man to the area and creating congestion. A few other things we need to tidy up, hand balling is atrocious and all are guilty. And whilst Petracca was great up forward, we need him in the middle. God we miss Clarry for the team balance and his super high standards.
