Farewell Sam Weideman
Being from SA and a mad Redlegs fan I'd say keep ya grubby hands of him. He is only 196cm which is a little worryingat AFL level. But as a back up he would be good, he is also handy up fwd. Not only did he win the Jack Oatey medal he won the club Best and Fairest and came 6th in the Magarey Medal (SANFL Brownlow) Very good option, but also stay away 😉

Farewell Sam Weideman
Really hoped he woukd turn it around. But this move is best for everyone. As for ruck back up, there is always rucks available. And with grundy coming in it's not as if we need a really really good back up. Maybe Sweet from the dogs or just the best ruck from the SANFL, WAFL or VFL

Farewell Luke Jackson
Agree about the Dunkley trade, but don't recon they are waiting on Jackson. I think they know that pick will be part of the trade somehow.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Not what they were saying all day on trade radio today. They were saying they have offered it and we have knocked it back. It Has also been reported all be it by Garry Lyon that he won't go to the PSD because he does want the best for Melb. How much truth there is to that I dunno. Freo will trade Lobb, they are just trying to drive the price up, no way do they keep him, he is the type of person that will walk away for 12 months. Alot of stand off's happening atm and some has to budge soon. I hope its not us

Tom Phillips - Outside Skills and Speed
I think he is worth a punt. last list spot, paid nothing, plays a position we are very shallow in, and brings some experience too. If we have room give him a 1 year contract, then next year see what the draft looks like if it doesn't work out.

Tom Phillips - Outside Skills and Speed
Well he was part of the Collingwood salary dump so not really "let go" but why he wasn't getting a run at the Hawks is interesting
-
Delisting/Out of Contract Targets
Top three I think we should look at, purely as depth players: 1 - Cullum Brown (Pies) 2 - Tom Phillips (Hawks) 3 - Quinton Narkle (Geel) Purely depth for cheap as chips. Also if Tommo did leave, call me crazy which most of you will but only for cover..................O-Mac???

Delisting/Out of Contract Targets
He is contracted, but Carlton have told him they are happy for him to explore his options. Good player, but is a midfielder and that's it. Which makes it hard to break into our side.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Think Freo have already offered that and we have knocked it back. I recon if they can't get a first round pick inside the top 7 the dees will ask for: 13 + 29(Bulldogs for Rory Lobb) + 2023 Freo Rd 1 + 2023 NM Rd2 Which I'd say we would jump at.

Josh Bruce
Bruce is on 500k a year so no Salary benefits, it's a straight swap
-
Farewell Brodie Grundy
Yup stick to 27, I wouldn't be surprised if Collingwood have cracked the [censored] because Grundy has said he will take a pay cut!

Farewell Sam Weideman
I couple of years ago when he was doing that i though he had a role as the fwd/ruck back up then. And but only if he can play fwd too. My Issue the role people want him to play is the Jackson role. which he can't. he is fine as a back up but we will get found out if he is taking 40+% of the ruck duties as Jackson was. I still dream of a world where he locks down a position in our fwd line for 200 games, i just don't understand how he can't convert it to AFL. I'll keep dreaming i guess

Whitfield & Haynes on the trade table?
Whitfield is exactly what we need, Haynes is way too much and we don't need his type

Farewell Sam Weideman
Hickey, Oscar Mac, Gawn the rucks in the top 4, Sean Darcy, Nank and Tim Eng below them. Coll and Geel the only ones with Genuine top level rucks Port lost 4 of the last 6 which shows how sustainable that model is. No problem with Weid as a back up, but he isn't close to being ready for that role.

Farewell Sam Weideman
Impact around the ground isn't rucking, finlayson and port also didn't make finals

Hunt was only good as a lock down defender, rivers is a good kick and whilst he has work to do he is coming along nicely. Hunt was tried as a Mid, tried on the wing, tried up fwd, tried as a running half back. unfortunately he wasn't a good decision make and he wasn't good by foot. Frost had speed too, but i don't want him back! good skills and kicking will get the ball moving faster than a speedy player. Laurie was an Emg for most of last year he is right on the edge of getting a games, Howes has a way to go but only his first year in the system still. Im actually surprised they let Rosman and kept Baker, by all accounts he was a talented hid with some speed and a long kick that had injury issues.

Yeh recon the money has a bit to do with it. Bowie, Turner, Rivers would have passed him. Laurie and howes aren't defenders Our midfield is Oliver, Trac, Brayshaw. our depth is Sparrow, Viney, Jordon, Dunstan, Chandler Laurie isn't a long way off at all, has had a great year in the VFL, he needs to try take a Spargo or ANB spot. I'm not saying we are a destination club, i dont think they exist anymore the one exception being Geel. but players want to go to successful clubs and clubs in the window. and that's us atm.

Jackson - 900k+ a game Bedford - not best 22 Hunt - just best 22 but about to be passed by kids coming through Harmes - Sad loss, but great midfield depth without him still is reasons for everything, more players have come to the club of late than have left. Even Cerra wanted to join the Dees but we just didnt have the capital to do the deal, Dunstan Joined us even though he knew he would struggle to break into the side, could have gone anywhere Id say the caliber of guys coming in is better than what is going out.
