  1. Whatever happened to the dissent rule?
  2. Neither can Collingwood generally. I think to beat them you have to attack hard.
  3. If there is one player in the league, I would like to add to our team, and I know it’s not going to happen, but it would be Shai Bolton.
  4. Completely agree
  5. I’m with you. I thought he played far too well to be dropped.
  6. Our midfield was beaten badly - they simply didn’t handle the greasy ball - but they NEVER capitulate.
  7. Maybe they should name Kossie. That might appeal to him.
  8. He played an average game for him -ie by other standards, exceptional- until the restart when he was clearly IMV the catalyst. As my username suggests, I love his play and have since Rd 1 2016: first game, 2 Brownlow votes. He is unbelievable. Congratulations and please, 150 more, as good as these!
  9. I always understood that the game stopped when the umpire blows his whistle - not when the siren sounds. Big surprise to see the AFL back the decision- they have such a great track record for calling mistakes out fearlessly (irony)
  10. BBB kicked four goals but how many intercept marks did Harris Andrews take? Unfortunately, I think BBB was well beaten.
  11. Was no one impressed with Nibbler? I thought he was valiant against the early tide!
  12. We should be able to murder both these teams.
  13. Clarry: 33 touches, 7 tackles, 8 clearances. 2 votes. It shows how much everyone takes what he does for granted.
  14. Surely Fritta (if he really is ready) replaces Pickett. Which means JVR might get his chance. But the main hope is that it’s all a storm in a teacup. But foot injuries…. It makes me shudder. I think of Jack Viney who took years to get right, and then Jack Trengove and Aaron VDB who didn’t.
  15. Sorry, I don’t know - who are we talking about?
  16. Perish the thought!!! Viney is tough as nails but fair!
  17. Whatever happened to the dissent rule? Thry certainly don’t apply it to Geelong!
  18. Sure, Collingwood are looking good, but also Geelong are showing their age – at last!
  19. Gee, I’d have Bolton at Melbourne anytime. Normally I don’t care about players from other clubs but he is sensational.
  20. FWIW, I think Hibbo might be a good matchup for JUH. If Petty goes on Naughton, and one of Grawndy drops back, hopefully we’ll be ok…..
  21. Good: The pies are a lot better than 40 years ago. So are the toilets. Enjoying Melbourne wins much more frequently than for the last 40+ years. Bad: Much as we love Robbo, “entertainment” at quarter time. The half time summary that you can never hear but which tells you only the obvious anyway. Grand Final halftime entertainment.
  22. Moore over Clarry???!!!!??? They have to be joking. For a start, it helps if you are regularly available to play.
  23. I can’t/won’t get past the paywall - did anyone score 10?
  24. Incredible amount of love for Schwarz and Jakovich in this thread, amazing given that both of them had very short periods at their peak, due to injury. But I’m not disagreeing! Oliver Flower Barassi Schwarz Lyon But also Brett Lovett (cool as ice)
  25. At the G with my daughter watching us win by 5+ goals.
