I don't understand why the idea of moving him into the middle is such a popular one. Halfback flankers can be critically important in setting up attacking thrusts, and his present position utilises his skills perfectly.

Anyone who thinks Grundy was a mistake is forgetting the period of - what was it, 4 weeks? - when Max was injured. And his game on Friday shows how good he is when he is not getting mauled physically every week. Going back to that fool Barrett, my main gripe is his insane Geelong bias when he is employed to be a neutral observer. And his constant underrating of Melbourne.

Terrible team IMO. Melksham does not deserve to stay in; Jordon has had many opportunities and has proved he is a plodder. I can only think Petty will go forward as otherwise the only tall is BBB and he is not enough. But if Petty is forward who is our third tall in defence? - should have been Tomlinson who us also usually quite a precise kick.

From the little i have seen, he looks like he can hit a target - and, oh, how we need that!!

We have to wear not having Oliver at the moment. We can still win games. But IMV Petty forward, Tomlinson into the back line, but the real MUST is to change our tactics so that the kicking into the forward line is done by precision kickers and not long bombers. I love how Lingers plays but his kicking is not precise. We should have people like Salem, Bowey, McVee and Tommo running past to do the actual forward delivery.

Whether we make top four depends on us and us alone.
