  1. If we can maintain a relatively injury free few months and get McAdam (Carlton), Bowey (Carlton) and Salem back in, then follow that up with the return of Melksham (If he can find some form) we're in a strong position to tackle the back half of the season. Add the likely return to full fitness and form of Petty and the possible introduction of Fullarton or even Verrall and who knows what can happen. Just remember if we can squeeze into the top 4 the finals footy we're likely to see will be contest heavy and that's our one wood when we're fit. It's all about the fitness this year even more so than normal with the amount of top teams.
  2. Don't get suspended
  3. The club has no doubt watched plenty of SVR. He may even get picked. BBB has recently shown he's valuable back up if fit. This will be his last year, even I've stopped bagging him and the club's handling of his contract. Some on here are like a dog with a bone except even a dog eventually finishes chewing.
  4. He’s too good for Casey and we had a giant hole in the forward half
  5. Mid season draft I'd be taking project ruck/forwards. I'd leave the taking of mids to the draft top 20.
  6. Nothing has to give except patience, in that many here need some regarding Petty.
  7. The reason the next 2 weeks are a minny litmus test is we need to bank some wins to guarantee top 4

Can’t argue with that. It’s a one week penalty to prevent it but the AFL dropped the ball because one of their pin up boys was first to go. For a professional sport the level of umpiring and tribunal decisions are incredibly amateurish. It’s actually embarrassing that the AFL believed putting more amateur umpires in the field was the solution rather than making them professional’s and training them 5 days a week. I look forward to those concussed from this game receiving a payout that goes close to bankrupting the sport. The whole administration needs a giant kick up the bum.
  9. I’d really love to beat both these sides. I have no idea how good or not quite we are this year. Our mids are down, I can’t see how that continues. I think our forward half is 10 weeks of injury free footy from being quite strong. We have to finish to 4 so probably need to win at least one of the next two.
  10. Our defenders will do what they do, it’s upto the midfield and forwards to cone to the party

We can and should ignore Schache
  12. I tell you what, Demonland will be in raptures if we win the next 2

Those thinking that Petty will be dropped are way out of touch with reality

Just watched the replay.....that was tough. There was a moment where Petty had the ball in the second quarter. He'd barely had a possession and he was gassed. His face was bright red and he was sucking in the air. He's working hard, he's had no pre season and very little footy last year. His time off legs would set back anyone. He'll stay in the one's, he'll start clunking a few and eventually he'll hit the scoreboard. If an opposition's best defender is on him he also knows how to defend. He'll become an asset. He'll also get us some tasty draft picks when he heads to Adelaide.

Are we taking Jenkins advice? There’s morons and there’s guys like Jenkins. His inability to understand a game he played is extraordinary. When Salem and Bowey come back and with TMac playing so well our backline is the envy of the comp. If Petty can stay fit and can build into the season he’s an absolute weapon as a forward. Alongside Turner, JVR, Pickett, Fritsch and McAdam he’s an asset. Down back he’s surplus to our needs.
  16. Fairly sure it’s expected he’ll play a whole game in the VFL before returning. Let Petty run into form this week and then get McAdam in to tear the Blues a new one.
  17. I can’t see any obvious changes. Maybe Hunter for Woewodin. Fritsch could play the defensive forward on Stewart. The area we most need to improve is in the middle. Our defence has been unbelievably good. If our mids get on top and Petty can clunk a few we should have this. Jeez, it’s going to be an incredible 2 weeks of footy coming up. Win these and the competition will look at us as the pace setters. Lose them both and we may have kissed top 4 and a flag chance away.
  18. That’s absurd
  19. Our backline is just needing Bowey and Salem, Tomlinson offers less than TMac and thus won’t play
  20. Swap Woewodin and Laurie
  21. On that form can’t see how Geelong or Carlton get close.
  22. You watch Richmond kick the last 3
  23. We lack skill plain and simple.
  24. No but they show something, I like hunger but I’d settle for an appetite with pick 15.
  25. I shouldn’t post this but sheesh, pick 15!!
