  1. Swap the Pies for the Dee’s and I think it’s on the money
  2. I’m guessing he’ll play forward when the game demands it. He’s awesome around the ball but if Rivers and Langford are on top he’s such a damaging presence up forward. He’s too good to not have around the ball especially in tight games. I think if we transition to a more attacking style he’ll be front and centre at clearances. 2025 is likely going to be his best year yet.
  3. Rubbish in what way? Players need to be protected from serious injury just as they are now protected from concussion. You can no longer allow ruptured spleens, collapsed lungs and broken ribs without at least looking at the rules. I don’t want to see the high mark outlawed, I also don’t want to see players out of the game because of avoidable injuries. Moore does not need to lift his knee. He owes a duty of care to Petracca as Chol does to May. It’s not hard to expect players to leap without driving the knee into players backs.
  4. Players deserve protection from grotesque injuries. You do not need to jam your knee into an opposition players side to spoil or take a mark. It should always be a vertical motion as opposed to horizontal. Just watch how Jeremy Cameron marks high balls. Moore drives his knee into players week in week out. He’s caused several really significant injuries and the fact the AFL isn’t discussing this just shows how asleep at the wheel they are…..Oh but Kozz gets 3 weeks….give me a break. It’s laughable.
  5. I think one of the things that we should be able to benefit hugely from this coming season is improved fitness and thus greatly improved two way running.
  6. Until Jeffo proves something he’s just another big guy without the requisite appetite.
  7. I guess it comes down to his attack on the ball and his ability to pinch hit in the ruck thus relieving JVR of those duties. If he can split packs, kick the odd goal and scare a few opposition defenders he’s paid his way. I’m sick of recruiting guys without the prerequisite hunger for the contest. It’s the missing piece in our forward half. I’d give him 5-6 weeks to prove he can help. There’s no love yet.
  8. I think Lindsay may replace Salem if his body lets him down. TMac very unlucky. A half forward line with Petracca and Langford is mouth watering
  9. I think they need to penalise the guy who lifts his knee and doesn’t mark it or something like that. Not quite sure how it works. Had Petracca been on the ground scrambling for the ball and Moore came in with his knee it would be a free kick so the same should apply in the pack situation???
  10. I’ve just been for a drive in my Toyota, listening to the news on my Toyota radio when all of a sudden my phone rang which I answered on my Toyota Bluetooth. Thankfully it was just my mechanic reminding me I have a Toyota service tomorrow on my Toyota.
  11. Rock on Demonlanders, it’s been a pleasure reading almost all of your opinions. Can’t wait for next year I think it might be a special one. Have a great Xmas and a rocking new year. Hug your kids, your partners, your friends and hell, even hug your family!
  12. I’d pay $2m to drive it fast on all roads, unfortunately my driving skills far outweigh my financial skills so I’ll settle for driving at the limit in my old Toyota.
  13. I want Johnson in the side to see what he can add. I’m sick of drafting these low rung talls and never playing them. I think his attack on the ball just might make him a handy forward addition and I’d like to see him given the opportunity to prove himself. Play him through the first 5-6 weeks, we’ve nothing to lose.
  14. There’s only one way to drive a Ferrari.
  15. It’s harder for him with Petty going back. We can’t/won’t/it’s unlikely we play 4 talls.
  16. I’m guessing we’ll enter through the existing tunnel under the track
  17. Dingley is a 💩 hole, plain and simple
  18. I agree but he’s coming from a long way back
  19. I actually like the idea of Sparrow playing ANB’s role. He’s toned down and can probably run all day. Spargo doesn’t hit the scoreboard nearly enough. He’s a link player with his beautiful kicking. Sharp remains an unknown quantity. Chandler appears the most likely option to replace Pickett as a crumbing forward, well unless Roy George makes his way to the list.
  20. Chandler appears the front runner but if Pickett becomes a mid then surely Chandler is our crumbing forward. That’s the way I see Sparrow having his chance. Where’s he been training this off season?
  21. He signs his name with #34, that says to me he's coming our way. I'm more confident now than I was last year.
  22. Sparrow's such an interesting one for mine. Currently I don't have him best 22, perhaps as sub. Post 21 I though the sky was the limit for him but he's kind of gone nowhere since. On the other hand he's a potential ANB replacement and if he can make that his role he may of just found himself a position in the side. I mean beyond that where does he fit now that Rivers, Langford and even Pickett have become mids? Time will tell.
  23. Personally I'm a believer that if we can fix our midfield we can fix our problems. Our defence remains sound and with depth. Our forward line now has enough to be more than threatening. Our main midfield of Petracca, Oliver, Viney, Rivers, Langford and Pickett, along with the surrounding run of Windsor, Langdon, Bowey, McVee, Salem, Sharp, Spargo and Lindsay should be strong enough to compete at the top end of the competition. It's a big year for the coaches, finding the gameplan that gets the best out of this group. Personally I think we'll see our 21 plan tweaked without major changes. I'm expecting to see full team defence to force turnovers on the fast transition teams and then some clean possessions to an improved forward line. Think of the KB game against the Pies in 23, that's the template for mine but with improved forward movement and goal kicking. We completely shut them down and should have won by 6-8 goals.
