I'll hazard a guess because well managed clubs don't sign players until they have to.

Kicking Inside 50
We have players making space but we donāt have players who steady and look and we also do t have many players who can kick. Either way thereās plenty to work withā¦..isnāt there??

The poor guy. Much easier to step into a team that's travelling well and you've been practising the role expected of you. What would the expectations be on a first gamer currently?

Time to start a rebuild?
I wonder why it's taking so long? I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing but as the heat turns up on the club it'd be good to have this settled. There's change on the horizon and that's harder to implement without a strong CEO. I would have thought Steven Smith would have a host of connections he could work through. I do wonder if they have someone in the wings who's got to finish up somewhere else first?

Does anyone seriously think this guy will add much to our team? Clutching at straws.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
I'm coming around to the idea of trading both for whatever the best deal is. I've got a nasty feeling the damage done by them can't be undone and the club needs some clear air. it's a damning indictment on a club that had 2 of the very best mids and now this. Look at how Richmond handled Dusty and compare that to our handling of Oliver. The mere fact we would let Petracca become so unhappy that he wants out publicly is shocking. This needed to be handled in house. We need a new coach, a new football director, new assistants, seemingly a new fitness guru, a CEO and a Smith and Green to be working on a solution. Thankfully we have a list with obvious talent, time is fast approaching when we need to start making hard decisions. I'd hazard a guess that this has started behind the scenes. This industry moves fast and if we make poor decisions now it's only going to get worse.

Sparrow would walk into most sides and become a very good extractor. Then you guys would all be saying how we let him go!

Mate of mine goes with his 4 kids. They drive over and camp in a beautiful spot about an hour's drive from the city. Saves them a bundle.

Our fitness and training schedule in 2025
Weāre not giving up we just donāt play with any fluidity or flair, weāre grinding. Playing the way we are would wear even the fittest sides out, out least thatās my hope. For if we actually arenāt fit enough then seriously, wtf!!

Our fitness and training schedule in 2025
We keep saying we're moving to this fast transition football but then watch us time and again kick it long to a contest. We also ignored players in the corridor all night. I'm not convinced the players even know what it is they're supposed to be doing. We've got senior players clearly playing as individuals. If The Brand was serious about us improving he'd be driving the change, sorry but I see a petulant child more than I see an experienced leader of men. I'm shocked how bad we are this year. Bar Chandler there's not a player that has improved on their previous best, That's a terrible indictment. If it turns out we're also not fit enough then we are truly cooked. I still think it's the way we play that's killing us but maybe it's fitness as well.

PREGAME: Rd 05 vs Essendon
Tigers will smell blood and beat us, that could spell the end for Goodwin if Essendon and Freo pants us as well. WE could also win the next 4 and be 4 - 4!

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
I'd say Scott made it pretty clear the whole club was laughing at our coaches. We were flat out embarrassed. The fact an opposition coach and player would ridicule us should see us breathing fire but can we even do that?

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
If The Brand wants success then he has to drive it. He's good enough and fit enough to play like Dangerfield well into his 30's giving him plenty of time to achieve further success when you look at our young list. Oliver either keeps his head down and keeps improving or he gets traded, whether that be for peanuts or gold doesn't really matter. There's only one version of Clayton this club can maintain. Whilst I understand the importance of Gus it was long enough ago for another leader to step into the void he left. We're embarrassingly short of leaders and that's something that needs to change. Bottom line as every loss happens its 2 people most in the gun and that's Goodwin and Richardson, you can probably throw Choco into that as well. The wolves are at the door and I really hope we have the leadership at board level to navigate the next 6 months. Buckle up folks cause here we are again.
