They’re really good
-
If hogan was at Melbourne he would of slipped over and broken his foot going for that mark
-
They also had belief, determination and hunger banged into them.
-
Because Goodwin has dropped the ball. We know it so.

Jake Bowey to miss 8 weeks with broken collarbone
Roost it far replied to DutchDemons's topic in Melbourne Demons
No but we’re fielding a weak side. Try these names on for size Petty, Hibberd, Grundy, Bowey replaced by Schache, Laurie, Windsor and Howes. I guess what I’m trying to say is we can’t afford any more key injuries, Schache can’t play ever again. It really makes the non playing of Grundy embarrassing. There was a Flag up for grabs and we didn’t even pick our best side. All the club apologists over this preseason would be mocking any other club who did what we did. Amateur hour. And yes I will keep banging on about it because we’re a rung below these clubs now and it’s hard to get back up. We almost need to bottom out and get some top picks. -
We should have gone hard for Hogan 2 years ago.
-
Not unless injuries stop happening and Petty and McAdam start playing well. I’m wondering if we’ve totally changed our plan for this year. Scrounge as many wins as possible in the first half, lock down best 23 and come hard in the second half. Fullerton very important to us…..can he actually play?

GWS will belt us. Great mix of ages, strong, determined and hungry. We look old and then too young, unfit and not up to it. The vibe of GWS is awesome

CASEY: Practice Match vs Port Melbourne
Roost it far replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Get JUH 3 things need to happen for us to step up again next season Recruit a ready made forward such as JUH Adams, Windsor, and 1 of AMW and Brown all have to be AFL solid players next season. Adam’s to replace May, Windsor on the wing, Brown on the bench Change the game plan and stop relying on Gawn. -

What we really need is Adam’s to make the step to AFL. That’s my wish for this year. -

So it sounds like TMac is preparing to cover May in case of injury and no one else is AFL ready. Our stocks past best 23-24 are thin -
Jake Bowey to miss 8 weeks with broken collarbone

Let’s see what Hore can do……big big loss, at this rate we’ll be fielding half a VFL side soon enough -
Bowey 8-10 weeks is a big loss
-
Question for track watchers. Is Adam’s a likely prospect?
-
Nicely put. I wonder if anyone answers for what really is a monumental stuff up. Dare I say it but clubs with a strong culture don’t do this. Just add it to the list of post and pre season howlers.
-
Because we are just a tad soft, only an inkling but just enough to exploit
-
Out: Bowie, Spargo, Schache In: Pickett, Woewodin, Fullerton
-
If BBrown or TMac get a game we’re done
-
I actually think Max spat the dummy and wanted to ruck alone
-
In my opinion the club mishandled how they played. They needed 10-12 rounds playing together with Max playing 50 ruck, 20 forward and 30 bench with Grundy playing 50 ruck and 50 bench, with some forward pinch hitting.
-
Is it revisionism? What was wrong with having Grundy and Gawn play together 18 times a year and into finals. Dominate the centre. We couldn’t make it work yet we play Schache? We weren’t smart enough and we dropped the ball on this one.
-
Bowey out ?
-
We’re clearly loading
-
Is the question why does no one stand up for Gawn? It’s why I hope Fullerton is AFL standard. We need a big body to canon into the opposition’s ruck at every opportunity. Bang, bang, bang. Grundy needed to be hit and hit hard. Schache’s not that guy and needs to stop getting games.

Spargo’s Achilles will trouble him all year
