  1. The positive in a delayed season start is that Harley, KK, Vanders and Joel Smith will be all be set to play round 1
  2. Might be a good idea for someone at AFL house to do up that draw for a 17 game season. Equality in the draw at last
  3. Proven goal kickers. Sadly lacking at this current time. Hopefully we can get this from Fritsch, Kozzie and Weid over the next period of time. We need it.
  4. I hate Essendon every single day of the year. Not sure if I was that way prior to the drugs. Probably was a bit but it has definitely increased. Vlad should of sent them to Tassie. Generally only hate all the other clubs at the time we play them.
  5. Loving Jack Viney’s body shape this year. Looks lean and has definitely lost a few kgs. Seems to be over his foot issues and we will see some zip back from Jack this year. He is also a fantastic tackler. Personally I’d hate to play against him. In for a big year
  6. Plenty of positives We looked super fit with some really good body shapes on show, particularly Petracca and Viney. Plenty of players just looking lean. Langdon was really good. Tomlinson solid Played a bit safer/wider and didn’t look for high risk kicks back in the middle as much Didnt get scored against out the back
  7. I hope the Bombers clean up after themselves when they leave today. Be careful anyone heading to Casey tomorrow. Maybe don't wear thongs just in case.
  8. You can question the club all you like but the plan as I see it is simple - Club - win games Supporters - buy a membership and turn up
  9. When the financials you are presenting don’t make great reading I can understand the lack of marketing for the AGM. Timing of it being one week before the footy starts is no accident.
  10. I liked it. Great insight into the club. Look forward to the rest. Those thinking what will the other clubs and the media think of us by producing this need to remember this is not for them this is for us.
  11. Interesting take for the author to say Petracca has transformed himself so he can earn himself a large contract next year. I'd prefer the author said that he has done this in an attempt to get the best out of himself and get the Dees back up the ladder.
  12. I do agree somewhat to what Kane Cornes is saying but we are backing ourselves in to deliver. We are not acting like the 17th placed team hiding away. We are putting it out there. Is that right or wrong? All depends on the win/loss. I will be positive and back us to deliver.
  13. Wow this is big news. I thought we could maybe give them a 3rd rounder in the trade period but looks as if we might be able to just sign him as a delisted free agent. Poor Jesse hope he can make some progress from here
  14. I thought the media from the camp was fine. Ben Gibson did some good interviews with Petracca and Tom McDonald. Good article on Viney. I am glad they never ran the Salem barber shop, pretend snake at the beach type ones from years previous. One thing they could do more of is just random vision from training. That is the stuff of real interest.
  15. Training would finish at around midday? afl.com story drops at 5:30pm (with very little info, no club comment ect) 30 mins after injury first reported on demonland. Interesting Fingers crossed all ok
  16. Maybe Bedford needs to work on his kicking Gus doesn’t have much luck with this sort of stuff does he. Remember when ANB nailed him in the back of the head in a VFL game.
  17. I really liked the interview with Petracca from the camp day 2. The interviewer gave him a couple of good ins to talk about himself and how fit he is and how well he is travelling but he choose on both occasions to talk about the team. From what I have seen and heard he looks in absolute ripping condition so he could of easily given himself some praise but didn't. Good stuff Tracc - perfect attitude
  18. Let’s just see how he is tracking come March 13 or whenever the lodgement closes. Article on SEN had very little info in it and as we know the media love nothing more than knocking someone down.
  19. Petracca to have a great year playing midfield forward - where he absolutely dominates a couple of games - 25+ touches & 5+ goals
  20. Looks as if Oscar will get first crack as the 2nd tall and I am ok with that. Hope he goes well and starts to play with some confidence. Just looked very timid last season and didn’t back his ability to intercept at all. Had chances to mark the ball but was always to worried about his opponent. I wouldn’t rule out Tomlinson playing as the 2nd tall in the 2nd half of the year if the wing position doesn’t work as planned. This would allow Hunt and Langdon to be our wingers. Pleased to hear someone on training thread mention Hunt was training with the midfield. I think wing or back is where he will do best.
  21. I think Pickett will play round 1. ANB the other small in the forward line. I hope to see something to get excited about from Bedford and Chandler this season to potentially pair with Pickett long term.
  22. I’d give Weideman first crack and make him play the 2nd ruck role also. Tmac and Weideman as the talls, Pickett and ANB as the smalls and Petracca, Melksham and Fritsch as the mid range types who all go well in the air. I do like Hannan as a player but not sure the mix would be right with him in there also.
  23. Must say I am loving the feedback on Jackson thus far. Just maybe that PP to the GC will be a blessing.
  24. Rotten luck for the young fella. What a shame. Pleased the club have will sign him for 2021. I suppose the only positive is when he makes it back in 2021 he will have a more mature body to be able to handle it. Treat him like a 20-21 year old new recruit
  25. From that list Weid and Smith are in full training
