  1. It’s refreshing to see some real change in method! Hopefully it continues Thanks Kev and fellow track watchers
  2. Furiously searching Hotton highlight reel
  3. 5. Hope Draper slides to us but would take Smith - Looking for Round 1 impact and point of difference in our mix. 9. I am leaning towards Smillie, think if he gets to work in an AFL system he’s a real weapon with his size and kicking - I am ok with him ending up a 195cm HBF with a long and accurate kick if that’s how it shakes out
  4. You may be right, certainly on game day he’s very vocal and direct with his feedback. Thinking about it more, I think his quarreling with Lever is over the top and probably a distraction on field for the younger blokes
  5. The obvious void is a very specific, Gus shaped, one. I’m on record as saying Lever needs to worry about his footy more than his leadership, he’s treading a fine line between being useful and a liability. I’m not sure Rivers needs the pressure of leading others, he’s had some flashy games recently but has a decent way to go before he cements a midfield role, let alone a leadership position. I think the cupboard is quite bare between Max/May and the rest
  6. Our forward line would work adequately enough if it wasn’t based on protecting field position. It certainly won’t be the envy of the competition but there’s enough goals to come from our current group if given a more attacking mindset across the ground. The dilemma is that it opens up our defensive end, which is very shaky when the ball is not coming in predictably - slow, high and long.
  7. Exactly my problem with Allen, he’s more of the same and that’s what we don’t need.
  8. Mixed emotions with Trac, proved that he’s all about himself first and the team/club second. Hope the leaders hold him accountable this year as almost everyone will expect him to walk at the end of the year. His year was decent until the injury, nothing more and nothing less
  9. Would love him to fall into our lap, has all the attributes we need.
  10. I know we need something different but if this is how it plays out, I would be very underwhelmed
  11. Highlights seem to suggest there might be a handy contributor in there. Has the signature attacking mindset of the Brisbane side.
  12. If anyone needs further convincing that the AFL is an entertainment business, this trade period garbage is it. A bunch of deals for ageing or fringe players and they are acting like this will change the world
  13. Wait until you see the guys who can do it for 2 hours, that will knock your socks off.
  14. The 300 that attend the B&F are certainly in the minority of supporters
  15. Interesting to see where this leaves us with other assistants? Jones coming in to help in a leadership role seems a bit odd, given he handed the leadership over to Gawn/Viney.
  16. Whilst not guaranteed, there’s a fair chance the bloke running 5min30snin the 2k is also pretty decent at recovering after shorter, repeated efforts. He could just run through rest periods
  17. 5 & 9 almost guarantees at least one will be ready to go for 2025, that’s an enormous confidence boost that we might see a changing of the guard. If both are ready for round 1, we could be a transformed side within a 6 month period - big caveat being Goody and his beloved gameplan
  18. 5 & 9 would certainly get the blood pumping. DO SOMETHING!
  19. I hope pick 6 is in the Round 1 team, we sure need it
  20. When we played our best football, our Casey side was just as strong as our AFL one. Tom Campbell shouldn’t make our AFL side better but having the best VFL ruck on our list certainly helps our Casey squad and fringe mids. The strength of the entire squad is just as important as the AFL
  21. Given all the instability around the club, Kozzie is naturally the one who would be the most unsettled. Very young family and a long way from home (whether that’s WA or Adelaide or Darwin). Ever since the Trac stuff started, I was concerned about Koz
  22. Would love to hear how Goody really feels about this, it basically stamps his papers for the end of 2025. We won’t be able to rise from this mess due to fatigue and also lack of available talent. They clearly had planned to top up and go again, We might be left with no choice but to go nuclear
  23. Our midfield was already paper thin for 2025, now it’s going to be absolutely cooked. We’ll all watch Trac sit out the year and request a trade for 2026
  24. From a football club perspective, Oliver was playing up and being bratty, however he was only doing what 80% of 26-27 year olds do every weekend. Sounds like he was led down the garden path by others or at least not alone. What Trac did was a very different kettle of fish, he deliberately sabotaged a very large operation to suit himself. And I still think he’ll walk for 2026 anyway
  25. How ironic that Petracca will end up as the cause of a year of missed trades. Houston and Switta could have helped his cause a significantly more than Tom Campbell and Wade Derksen - I wouldn’t have wanted pick 5 used but I’m sure there was other ways
