  1. I think the balance of the list is off and would expect a pretty steady decline from May/Gawn/Viney. Guess I am a pessimist
  2. Aside from TDK or Curnow, I don’t think Carlton have any players we would actually want. Their mids are very similar to ours
  3. I find it interesting that Trac would specifically want Roffey gone - according to the caller? How much interaction would he actually have with her? Totally get that supporters want a new president/ceo/board for a million different reasons, this just seems very pointed. Also, whoever is advising him thinking these tiny media snips will help are clearly not doing so in his best interests
  4. I must admit, I reckon the way Trac has hung Clarry out to dry, it might just be enough to light a fire under Clarry’s [censored]! Head to head in top form, it would be a ding dong battle.
  5. I’m interested in how this sits with Max, Jack Viney and possibly Steven May. The club itself might be resolute in the fact that there’s no trade but I doubt the players would want to go into battle with him now that he’s made all this so public.
  6. If Trac is truly the way it seems, I can’t imagine him wanting to play second fiddle to Cripps.
  7. The parallels with Ben Simmons cannot be avoided. This is a wild implosion.
  8. Could get used to an English soccer chant of this each week
  9. Remonstrated with every guy that touched him, not sold on that
  10. You meant half a bad season each year for 3 years, right?
  11. The tone in the media seems to be changing a little. Bit of a swing towards Petracca being the issue. My gut feel is he’s holding the club over a barrel, trade or year out of the game/retirement scenario
  12. If the entire footballing world can see that we are not just a HBF away from finals, I pray that our club can to. If we cough up pick 5 for Houston, one good thing is the club has no home base for the supporters to burn down. If we did this trade and flounder again next year, it would also guarantee the end for Goody/Pert/Richo etc
  13. I’m not a draft/CTL watcher, so who’s got those elite skills and agility that we need?
  14. It was reported that the Hawks offer for Battle would not trigger the pick following theirs, it would be end of first round
  15. It’s been said a million times before but this is self preservation, nothing more and nothing less. We don’t need experience, we need high quality
  16. I’m not actually weighting that towards McKay alone, more that we’ll get McKay and a high first rounder plus our own first rounder. Couple of highly skilled mids would have us closer than 6 more years of Trac
  17. And in this hypothetical, we not only hand Carlton a flag, we drastically improve our chances of winning one too.
  18. Agree with Jon Ralph. He’s been through a lot, no doubt, but it’s not our fault he asked his manager whether he could get out and people found out. The snowball effect of this has got large on him and it’s going to be a very long wait until 2025 season begins, whichever colours he ends up in.
  19. At least we won’t have to worry about late nights next year, back to our cosy Sunday arvo slot we go.
  20. Even without knowing him, I get the sense he’d be a vastly superior teacher/leader for Kolt/Sparrow/Chin etc When the whips get cracking, you know he’d be up for it
  21. No doubt this is true however Waterman also wont be around when West Coast start winning regularly, so maybe they prioritise more kids
  22. If we are still in the hunt for Waterman, it would surely make MFC a little more attractive for Houston. Waterman runs up at the footy as hard as anyone in the game, which totally changes our forward setup regardless of which line coach comes in. Houston can hit his chest from anywhere forward of CHB In this hypothetical scenario I’d happily let Trac walk and use his pick haul for young midfield guns. Splitting our current pick and change to land Houston and Waterman. Waterman more than makes up for Trac forward of the ball, Houston protects the HBF/mid rotation in cahoots with Riv and a young gun can slot into the mid rotation 2025 looks very different then
  23. Absolutely
  24. If Collingwood somehow find currency to get this done, doesn’t it pretty much guarantee they are cactus for the next few years? They will have even less picks and even more players over 30 (Trac being 29) This only helps the pies and Christian from a PR perspective, definitely not from a winning flags perspective
  25. I think there’s a decent risk element to keeping Trac next year, given the toll this injury has taken on him/his support network. He has always been a confidence player and I feel like that may take a while to properly come back. No doubt he’s very good at his best, not many across the league can compare, but like we have seen with Oliver, things can change quickly. Holding onto an outspoken and upset player with that much influence is a dangerous game
