  2. loved the way he got up into Selwood's grill when he gave away that 50
  3. I'll be pretending to work mainly
  4. This is business. No romance Chunk can look forward to welcoming twins into the world. That's amazing in itself. He should head back to Melbourne and be with his family.
  5. Perfect headline on fox footy "Geelong Gawn"
  6. Wish i was in Perth tonight
  7. I hope you're watching Will Schofield. stick your mental scars up your [censored]
  8. Making the granny is unbelievable. what a performance Gawny is a Giant. Viney was a bull And I have to say I derived immense satisfaction from pushing Geelong over the cliff. Theyโ€™ve had their time. Our time is now Only disappointment was Maysey. Heโ€™s a huge loss if he canโ€™t play in the final I'm super proud. Go Dees
  9. we're fitter and rested. Oliver to break the shackles and lead us home. we've got this.
  10. ripper 1st quarter. just need to keep our foot to their throat. hope May is ok
  11. West Coast are a close second
  12. I never paid much attention to Schofield until he popped up in an AFLW commentary team for a Dees v Freo game. I had to mute him. His West Australian bias was ridiculous and general tone was obnoxious. Heโ€™s a DH
  13. Our mental fortitude and ability to wrest momentum has been the most important development in this team this season. Iโ€™m confident we will perform tonight and handle anything the Cats throw at us. Iโ€™m hoping that every WA Demon will be at the game. I hope you bring along as many of the locals as you can to barrack for us as well. Iโ€™m prepared to suspend my dislike of West Coast supporters if they are prepared to cheer us along (and boo the Cats) just for this 24 hours. Low work productivity, high anxiety day coming up
  14. If Jonesy is named medi sub it'll be form based and because the coaching team think he can play his part if called upon. I just don;t believe we would let sentimentality dictate his selection.
  15. Given the preferential treatment the doggies get from the umps I've developed quite a dislike for them. Hope Port win
  16. First game attended was Queens birthday 2006 (just arrived in the country, belted the pies, reason i started following the Dees) Best game attended elim final 2018 v Geelong (Semi-final v Hawks a close second) Worst game attended prelim v West Coast 2018
  17. Didnโ€™t realise there was such appreciation for metal on DL. I'll be listening to all the suggestions posted in this thread As a youngster I was big into metal. Thrash, death, grindcore. Mellowed out as I got older and have a real appreciation for the likes of Soungarden but over the past while (might be because of lockdown) Iโ€™m listening to all the old metal again. Napalm Death and Carcass are getting a lot of playtime at the moment. In terms of stuff that I never listened to previously (and wish i had) I have to say Meshuggah are a serious band. Very complicated, layered and technically accomplished metal. Their drummer, Tomas Haake, is gifted. They are well worth a listen.
  18. Loved Pantera. Can't enjoy their music anymore seeing as the Abbott brothers are no longer with us. Dimebag was the best metal guitarist, bar none, in my opinion. Such a tragic ending. America is a seriously f'ed up country
  19. Huge moment for Pig. Tough coming into a prelim without playing a game for weeks.
  20. Don't stress folks. We got this
  21. I'm quite busy at work this week so don't have time to think about the game. That said i'm confident. We've fronted up pretty much every game this year, imposed our game style on the opposition and wrest momentum back when things weren't going our way. I'm sure we'll put in a performance on Friday night. Whether it's good enough to win time will tell but i don't think Geelong have a big performance in them. They'll be much more worried about us that we are of them. I don't care how they spin it that collapse in the last H&A will be preying on their minds
  22. "I don't think Gawn scares Stanley either" The dumbest comment i've read from an opposition supporter all year
  23. Whatโ€™s so crazy about it. Umpires are people and have biases and can be influenced just like the rest of us. Typically home teams are favoured (see the non-calls against us late in the Adelaide game earlier in the year). In the case of the dogs I have no idea why the umpiring favors them so heavily. Might be a statistical quirk, an outlier. But to happen so regularly is very odd. Over the course of a season the 50/50 calls even out. You might be shafted in one game but get the benefit in another game (supporters forget the games the umpires favor them). The doggies have consistently got the 50/50 calls in there favor all year. Good luck to them but i know i would be spewing if that was us on the end of those decisions last nigh, particularly the free kicks in the last quarter. 95% of the time people complaining about the umps are just whinging. The game is nigh on impossible to umpire and i think the umpires go ok all things considered. But the doggies armchair ride is a definite thing and is worthy of a closer look.
